recommendations - sash window

Recommended Posts

One of our sash windows rattles in the wind, let's in cold during winter and it could do with being double glazed. Any recommendations? I would like to keep the look and feel of wood. 'Bespoke Windows' offer a good wood effect PVC - anyone had any experience with these, any good?

Thanks in advance for any advice folks.

Yes, I have. They fitted new windows and doors for me about 18 months ago. All good, not a bad price. Work done on time and tidily too.

Today a lock jammed and they came round an hour after I called to fix it at now charge.

So I'd recommend them.

Hi

I am a local glazier, if the only problem with you Windows is the rattling in the wind it seems as though repairing them will be a much more cost effective solution as it is a simple fix really .... If you want any assistance please give me a call

We've just had Bespoke windows replace our old aluminium windows with some PVC sash ones and I'd also recommend them - the guys who fitted them (Danny and Tash) worked really hard and were pleasant, respectful and very tidy. We chose them because they seemed very professional. We had a slight issue with the way they put our plantation shutters back in out lounge (not an easy task given they were made for our old windows) and Murray, the owner, came round straight away to see what he could do to ensure we were happy.

    • I keep seeing a thread 'missing cat', but you've been found.  Not sure if all would consider that a good thing.  Not a lot new happening ....  When you back in Blighty?
    • In March Oli and his team did an excellent job of the following work at a property I manage.  1. Completely removing existing broken front path. Covering and securing the void (coal shute) beneath using concrete lintels, waterproof membrane and concrete. Laying a compacted sub-base and new clay pavers. 2. Removing broken fence. Securely installing 6 fence posts and 5 fence panels across the end of the back garden. Base of posts wrapped in plastic  sheath and set in post mix. 3. Removing broken render from terrace steps and cleaning then re-rendering steps where needed and repairing other parts.  4. Jet washing rear patio. I would like to thoroughly recommend him to you for a job done very well at a fair price.
    • This reads like an article in Gardeners World where Percy Chucker is discussing how he grew his SUV so big just using diesel based fertiliser and regular waywrimg 🤣   But point well made, they are getting bigger which is partly down to safety features that older cars didn't have but also marketing as adverts seen to push SUVs into the public eye.
