This sewing workshop is aimed at adults who want to learn to sew and learn to use their sewing machine confidently. This is an introductory workshop, perfect for beginners. Participants will learn how to thread the machine, change needles and sewing feet, understand the various parts of the sewing machine and demystify how a machine operates. You will also learn how to look after your machine. As a bonus, you will learn to sew a pencil case. All fabrics needed to practise and make the pencil case are provided. Basic sewing tools will be available to share & use. The workshops are all designed equip you with all the necessary skills and help you tackle your sewing projects. Faisal Dacosta whose credits include So Awkward, Kids Camp (The Movie - CBBC), Silent Witness (BBC), Professor T (ITV) & The Personal History of David Copperfield (FilmNation) will be leading a drama club for ages 12 – 16.
The objective of this club is for your kid to have the confidence to walk into any room with full confidence with their heads held high.
Faisal has years of experience in mentoring & teaching kids with special educational needs and loves using all of his creative skills to guide them into being the best version of themselves.
