    DAY

    27 May 2025      30 May 2025

Back in February, we at The Strings Club launched a brand-new Holiday Camp designed specifically for children in year 3-6. After gathering insights directly from the experts (the kids themselves!), we created Strum Stars—a fun, music-filled experience that’s struck a real chord with families. With electric guitars, DJ sets, and inspiring new activities, it was a hit from day one!
We’re thrilled to announce that Strum Stars is heading to Dulwich, London this May Half Term – and beyond!

Strum Stars builds on everything families love about our original Holiday Camps. With the same blend of creativity, confidence-building, and music, this camp is specially tailored to older children, with activities and resources perfectly suited to those in year 3 to 6.
    ⭐ What's in Store?
    Morning Magic
Start the day with fun guitar sessions – learn to play the music your kids already love, from Dua Lipa to The Arctic Monkeys. Book multiple days and they’ll even take their guitar home to keep practising!

🎨 Workshop 2: Get active with TikTok-style dance-offs, football skills, and unleash creativity through collaborative art and eco-crafts.

Girls only session for ages 8 to 14 years

What to bring to our holiday camps

Your child will need suitable clothing, a packed lunch, and a water bottle for every day of camp. If only doing a morning or afternoon you will only need a snack & drink

We like to make sure that every child leaves our Holiday Camps happy, and with another great memory! In order to make the most of their Holiday Camp experience, they will need to arrive prepared.

We advise that your children attend each camp in suitable clothing our football activities activities, running around, and having fun. Please make sure that your child has appropriate clothes for the weather. We recommend clothing is labelled so we know who it belongs too.

The holiday camps at Dulwich College take place on a 3G synthetic surface so trainers / astro trainers or rubber moulded boots are all ok. Strictly NO metal studs. Our Christmas holiday camp takes place at the Charter North school. For this venue just trainers or astro trainers are suitable.

Staying re-fuelled throughout the day is very important for children, so we ask that parents make sure their child brings a full lunchbox (full of healthy snacks) to each day of the Holiday Camp. Note: Please do not pack any food items containing nuts, as some other children may have severe nut allergies.

Children will be taking part in lots of active fun, so please make sure they bring a full bottle of fresh water (ideally refillable) to every Holiday Camp session.

During the hotter months of the year, equip your child with high factor sun cream that can be applied over the course of the day, as well as sunhat. Please ensure your child has a named sun hat and sun cream in hot weather.

Tickets: https://wegottickets.com/thegooseisout   JackDaw is an acoustic gathering of Rob Anderson, Gaby Szabo and Lyle Zimmerman. Sometimes joined by Charlie Austen and/or other friends, they play a combination of songs written by Rob, his old bandmate, cult 1970’s Oregon songwriter Wayne Drury, and beloved others.   The 2023 release, ‘Ghost InThe Big House’, began as a lockdown project with Rob working out songs, emailing vocal and acoustic guitar tracks to Lyle, who sandpapered, waxed and weeded a band-and-a-half’s-worth of dusty twang and jangle from his home studio’s instrument menagerie. Drums from Jay Shaw and Dan Purtell and plush harmonies from Gaby, Charlie and Lizzy O’Connor, were added, ending up with an album that RnR magazine described as “Neil Young reworking the Rolling Stones’ ‘Wild Horses’”.   Their intimate live performances strip the songs down and bring forward dusty roots and harmonies. RnR magazine... Four stars…dusty but lucid high desert stories” Americana-UK magazine November 2023 - “ A joyful confident album … a sage-like quality to the songs”   https://fb.watch/y6ZNYnd2cI/   Steeped in myth and mystery Jack Harris's songs bring the narrative tradition of folk and blues music into the here and now. His debut album 'Broken Yellow' received great acclaim in song- writing circles. Influenced by the old country blues masters (and folk singers of the British Isles), his performances are a riveting display of soulful, smoky vocals and intricate, finger-style guitar playing. "Jack Harris is a priest of song who holds himself to a rigorous ancient code of beauty most of us have forgotten exists" - Anais Mitchell   https://youtu.be/ZlyiriRai0U?si=GLzoWRX6dwJZSHKC   Dan Raza has kindly agreed to replace Joe Wilkes who can no longer do the gig. Plucked while still a student to tour with Joan Armatrading, and championed by Neil Young on his ‘Living With War’ website, Dan Raza has spent the first chapter of his career weaving folk troubadour magic around the clubs and halls of the UK, America and Europe while quietly building a reputation as one of the UK’s best-kept musical secrets.   ‘The real deal’ – Huey Morgan, BBC Radio 2   “Killer songs” -Tom Paxton   “A writer who has matured into one of this country’s finest” – Country Music Magazine   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gznPmeFFD3U
