Dulwich Folk at the Castle- Club Debris Folk Club gig

Going to a Club Debris gig has been described as "the most fun you can ever have in a folk club" and this is your chance to find out why!  This gig follows their percussive dance workshop at 4.30.

Not surprisingly when Club Debris played here before they packed us out. Basically they play Quebecois music which is (mostly) dance music from northern France transported to Canada and modified by American and Irish/Scottish influences.

The band were got together by fiddle player Maisie Greenwood, who fell in love with Quebecois music after visiting Montreal. The band also include fiddle/accordion player Will Allen of Brown Boots fame, Duncan Menzies who has also played at Dulwich with Copper Viper and the Clementine Lovell Trio, keyboard player Will Chamberlain  with Jess Collins on percussive dance .

This is genuinely thrilling music ; you'll usually find them in much bigger venues or at festivals so we are really lucky to have them .Get here early!

Entrance to the gig is £15 ; you can get joint entrance to the dance workshop and the gig for £22.
