Fresh from a rocking single launch at Windmill Brixton, punky, poppy, psychedelic Pig City Committee are playing at The Ivy House's New_Lands new music night. The gig is during Peckham Free Film Festival, so they thought it would be a nice idea to incorporate film into their set, playing behind the band. Most of the short films will Len Lye's experimental 1930s animation (which look like they're from the 1960s!), a couple from the similar Norman McLaren and a short, sinister 1907 film called The Dancing Pig. Band is due on around 9, preceded by the Americana pigeon-folk of Sealand. It's a fiver to get in. Doors 7.30pm. Tuesday 2nd September, Ivy House, 40 Stuart Road.
