Commemorating Black People with Blue Plaques

    

Dulwich & District u3a, Black History Month free public event on 21st October 2.15pm. Dr Jak Beula will be speaking about ‘Commemorating Black People with Blue Plaques’. Jak is the designer of the African and Caribbean War Memorial

in Windrush Square and the NHS Black Nurses and Midwives statue outside of Whittington Hospital  in North London.

 

D&D u3a is part of a nation-wide organisation for people who are retired or semi-retired. We are a charity, self-governing and run entirely by volunteers drawn from our membership of 800+ members from across South London. We share a wide variety of interests and pastimes in small groups.. Additionally we hold monthly meetings with speakers covering a wide range of topics to which all members, and the public, are invited – October’s is Black History Month (BHM).
