Artists YARA + DAVINA give free card readings on select Sundays based on their newORACLESproject, now on display in Gallery 12 at Dulwich Picture Gallery.
Oracle cards are tools for contemplation and are not designed to predict one’s future, instead they encourage us to listen to our intuition. These cards have been made by artistsYARA+DAVINA, who strive to create collaborative, bold, playful and thought-provoking public art. They take inspiration from the Gallery’s collection of historic paintings, and were developed through creative conversations with local community groups in Southwark, Lambeth and Lewisham. The cards offer thoughtful provocations for self-reflection.
ORACLES is part of our audience-led research project 'The Past for the Present', which connects the local community with our collection, to find new ways for historic paintings to speak to our lives today.
