The regular fortnightly traditional Irish music session will take place this Tuesday, 25th April at The Herne Tavern - corner of St Aidan's Road and Forest Hill Road.
For those unfamiliar with Irish music sessions, they're informal and unrehearsed affairs. You'll hear jigs, reels, hornpipes, polkas, the occasional waltz and maybe a slow air. Perhaps a song or two.
Musicians with a reasonable Irish music repertoire will be made very welcome. Come along and share a few tunes with us. The Herne is a very relaxed, friendly, welcoming pub with a huge beer garden and great acoustics. The new management have worked their backsides off to make it as attractive a pub as possible and - my humble opinion, for what it's worth - they've done an outstanding job.
