Windrush Tri Aquathlon - for adults and kids in the fabulous Brockwell park and lido

The Windrush Tri Aquathlon is the annual local event put on by the voluntary members of the Windrush Triathlon Club, in the beautiful surroundings of Brockwell Lido and Park in Brixton.

Windrush Triathlon Club are hosting their annual Aquathlon at Brockwell Park on Sunday 16th July between 08:00 – 10:30.

This will be the 12th year of the event where the ethos continues to be an accessible and inclusive event for all ages, races, genders and physical abilities. This year is also the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the first of the Windrush Generation in the UK and we are particularly keen to welcome newcomers to the event to celebrate the diversity of our local communities and further afield. 

The Aquathlon incorporates a swim at the famous Brockwell Lido followed by a run around the beautiful (slightly hilly!) Brockwell park, providing a safe, traffic free environment for both adults and juniors.

We have a range of events on the day depending on age:

Adult/age group

Swim 500m, Run 5km

Junior (17-19 yrs)

Swim 500m, Run 5km

Youth (15-16 yrs)

Swim 300m, Run 3000m

TriStar 3 (13-14 yrs)

Swim 200m, Run 2000m

 

TriStar 2 (11-12yrs)

Swim 100m, Run 1000m

TriStar 1 (9-10 yrs)

Swim 50m, Run 500m

TriStar Start (8 year olds)

Swim 50m, Run 500m

We also have our amazing TriFit programme, run by fully qualified coaches. It offers 6 weeks of sessions (2 per week) with a focus on Black, Asian, and minority ethnic backgrounds. It's only £25 for the programme, which works out at only £3.50 per session. No experience needed. It ends with a free entry to the aquathlon.
