Anyone looking for a temporary, short term rental (building works etc)?

Our lovely, newly renovated, 4 bed home is just going on the market and will be available for short term rental from 18th March. Perfect for those having building works etc.

We are looking for people who are flexible in allowing viewings and who can keep the house looking presentable and attractive. We can give discounts for longer stays as we would prefer one tenant but willing to consider all lengths of stay. Thanks!

Here?s our Airbnb listing: https://abnb.me/hk3gw7TZDU

We are furnishing the house this weekend so it will be fully furnished for any tenants and all bills included etc.

More details below:

Our lovingly renovated family home is available for short-term rent from March 2019. It has been recently renovated throughout so is in fantastic condition.

It has four bedrooms, including one with ensuite, a large double reception with eating and sitting areas, a further bathroom, a new kitchen looking onto a patio, new windows and a low maintenance back garden. The entire house was painted during the renovation.

The house is right next to Peckham Rye park (a 2 minute walk away) and the wilds of Nunhead Cemetery and the Ivyhouse and Waverley Arms pubs. It is very close to the 343, 484 and p12 bus routes and in walking distance to Crofton Park, Honor Oak, Brockley and Nunhead train stations. The amenities of East Dulwich and Peckham are a short 5 minute bus ride away/20 minute walk away.

Tenants

The house would suit a small family needing to relocate for a short-period of time for building works or similar. Or someone testing out the area or needing a short-term place to stay.

We are putting the house up for sale so ask that any tenants are willing to keep the house tidy for viewings and to allow potential buyers to come view during the period.

Furnishings

The house will be fully furnished and has two built in wardrobes as well as inbuilt storage under the stairs and in both bathrooms.

Length of term

We are putting our house on the market, so we can only guarantee a stay of two months. Beyond this we would be happy to have a rolling monthly contract.

Price

As we are looking for flexible tenants willing to allow sales viewings we are keeping the rental price as low as possible to cover our monthly outgoings on the property. The rental price includes all bills.

    • Hmmm, millions of animals are killed each year to eat in this country.  10,000 animals (maybe many more) reared to be eaten by exotic pets, dissected by students, experimented on by cosmetic and medical companies.  Why is this any different? Unless you have a vegan lifestyle most of us aren't in a position to judge.  I've not eaten meat for years, try not to buy leather and other animal products as much as possible but don't read every label, and have to live with the fact that for every female chick bred to (unaturally) lay eggs for me to eat, there will be male that is likely top be slaughtered, ditto for the cow/milk machines - again unnatural. I wasn't aware that there was this sort of market, but there must be a demand for it and doubt if it is breaking any sort of law. Happy to be proved wrong on anything and everything.
    • I don't know how spoillable food can be used as evidence in whatever imaginary CSI scenario you are imagining.  And yes, three times. One purchase was me, others were my partner. We don't check in with each other before buying meat. Twice we wrote it off as incidental. But now at three times it seems like a trend.   So the shop will be hearing from me. Though they won't ever see me again that's for sure.  I'd be happy to field any other questions you may have Sue. Your opinion really matters to me.
    • If you thought they were off, would it not have been a good idea to have kept them rather than throwing them away, as evidence for Environmental Health or whoever? Or indeed the shop? And do you mean this is the third time you have bought chicken from the same shop which has been off? Have you told the shop? Why did you buy it again if you have twice previously had chicken from there which was off? Have I misunderstood?
