A fantastic two double bedroom flat on the ground floor of a Victorian terrace house located on lovely Bellenden Road just a short walk from East Dulwich and Peckham Rye Stations. We renovated the flat in September 2016. We are moving to a new place nearby and are looking to rent the flat from November.

The property consists of a living room, two double bedrooms, kitchen-dining area, bathroom and a cellar (unheated but excellent for storage). This flat has plenty of character and period features throughout (reception room with working fireplace, wooden floors). There is also a large, sunny and well-tended private garden. The living room and the second double bedroom have built-in storage shelving.

Bellenden Rd is one of the most sought-after areas in the whole of SE15. The flat is located in the quiet part of the road, a few minutes? walk from Bellenden Village, 6-7 minutes from East Dulwich station and 9-10 minutes from Peckham Rye station. Parking is easy and available on the street. The flat is also a short walk to the brilliant Lordship Lane. Transport too is excellent with plenty of local bus routes, Peckham Rye and East Dulwich stations for frequent and direct trains to Victoria, London Bridge, Blackfriars and the City train stations. The London Overground provides access to Canary Wharf and Bond Street via Canada Water and is 15 minutes to Clapham Junction.

We don't want to rent through an agency (we've generally had bad experiences of renting through them) so there will be no agency fees to pay. We ask for six weeks deposit and the rent does not include bills.

    • We were hoping to have a meal at Monkatsu  last night (Sunday), after having been out all day. Online information gave the closing time as 10pm. We got there around 8.30pm and they wouldn't give us a table because "the kitchen closes in half an hour." Surely it doesn't take half an hour to make a meal? We've never had to wait that long when we've eaten there before. Has anybody else had this happen? We ended up going home and getting a delivery, which wasn't how we had envisaged the end of a nice day 🙄
    • That place did only have pizzas on the menu, to the best of my recollection. We ate there once, the pizzas were ok but the room was not exactly atmospheric. Il Mirto has  a lot of pasta dishes on the menu,  but that also never seems busy. It's small and out of the way,  and easily forgotten if you're looking for somewhere to eat, I suppose.
