Wanting to adopt a male guinea pig

I?m looking to adopt a male guinea pig to keep my guinea pig (Betty) company.

Sadly her live in companion died recently and as guinea pigs are social animals I am looking to find her a forever companion to live with her. I would prefer to adopt and would like to provide a loving home to a guinea pig that needs one and simultaneously partner my current guinea pig up so she is not lonely. So if anyone has a male guinea pig that they can no longer look after please feel free to get in touch.

Hope you find a companion - out of interest why a male? Won?t you end up with loads of little?uns?

When you introduce two guineas who haven?t grown up together one of the best pairings is to have a male and female but to make sure one is neutered (to avoid the many baby situation) - it makes it more likely that they will have a happy coupling and get along together.

Have you tried rescues,like Battersea ?

Yes - I am also putting the feelers out at rescue centres as well. Will keep you posted, but please do get in touch if you have/know of a little fellow who needs a new home!
