On Wednesday October 12 2016 around 6pm my hiking bag was stolen from one of the tables outside The Palmerston on the corner of Lordship Ln and North Cross Rd.

The bag (brand Deuter, photo attached) of red/grey colour contained:

sleeping bag & thin groundsheet

some hiking clothes (pants, dark green shirt, red turtleneck & red raincoat/jacket)

towel & hygiene products

travel documents with my name on it

opened bottle of pear brandy

keys

plush toy key-ring (explanation to come later)

Since there was nothing really valuable for a stranger I checked all bins in closeby area in hope to find my stuff dumped. But without any success. I shall hereby appologize to all of you good people of East Dulwich for checking out your garbage and possibly freaking you out a bit but was in a desperate situation.

Regarding said KEY-RING it is the most important thing to me and I cherish it above ALL because it being a gift to me from my sweetheart of 7 years. Wouldn't mind getting back just that (I mean the keys would be a handy thing to have but easily replaceable).

I do not really expect to see my belongings ever again but will do all I can to make it happen. And I will be eternaly grateful for any help and apreciate it properly.

IF YOU HAVE ANY CLUES LEADING TO ANY OF MY LOST STUFF, PLEASE E-MAIL ME ([email protected]) OR LEAVING A NOTE IN THE PALMERSTON IS ALSO A POSSIBILITY.

Thanks everyone for their help and have a lovely day.

Martin

PS: Sorry for all the grammar and spelling mistakes I have made. English is not my native language.

    • I didn't say Southwark in my stats.  But "only"?  That's a lot of stolen cars.  I'm a little confused about what this thread is about.  The need for better street parking for bikes?  Better parking at home for bikes?  Cycle theft and the need to tackle this?  Or a general dislike of cyclists and Southwark's policy of encouraging active, healthy, sustainable travel that helps improve air quality.  Or maybe all of these😀
