  1. Hi Everyone, I have just got the name of my colleague who I have for Secret Santa. She is pregnant (not her first baby) and I am wondering whether to get something for her or the baby? I am currently thinking her. The gift should be ?5 but I am happy to pay slightly more. Any tips of what to get would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Vinegar and warm water! Followed with a nit comb!
  3. It's very sad and such a horrible thing to happen. It's not everyday I see my Dad on the news and in the paper talking about it!
  4. I have now been to Rocca twice since it opened and unfortunately I was not that impressed. On the first visit I had to send my lasagne back as it was cold. I then thought I'd give it another chance and went again and although my food wasn't cold the pizza I had was rather bland and the calamari was overcooked. I also felt that they seem to be over staffed as the waiters are constantly hanging around your table etc. On a positive note...the food came quickly and the decor is lovely. However, for the time being I think I'll stick to Pizza Express.
  5. Hi, I think a lot of people find babysitters through word of mouth through friends and neighbours with children etc. I babysit myself, but being at uni I can only babysit when I am home in Dulwich in the holidays. I am 21 and have been babysitting for years for children from 8 months - 13 years old. I have been CRB checked due to working in schools and can provide references. I also drive. I am next back over Easter so should you need any help then please feel free to get in touch. Thanks, Kate
  6. As far as I know as long as the child is 12 you are o.k. to leave them. And the age to babysit is still 14.
  7. Hi all, I don't know if anyone can help me or has any connections. I am a final year music student and will be home in London for a week from the 22nd November. I am doing a module entitled teaching music and need to find a school placement to do some observation of what teaching music is like in a school. The university will write to the school to provide more details. I will need to complete a log book and the teacher will need to give feedback on how I was in class for the week. I am looking for a school near to Dulwich (as that is home -but don't mind some travel), where I can work alongside and observe the music teacher for the week from the 22nd November. Either in a secondary or primary school. I appreciate this is quite short notice, but if anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated. Thanks Kate
