Held in London's finest community garden, Grow Mayow in Mayow Park, we will be sharing stories with your children, rhythm and rhyme and of course lots of Drama! There to keep you warm, Small & Wild will be teasing your taste buds with tasty children's teas. With flavours reminding you of summer months gone by and wintery evenings to come, you'll get to immerse yourself in a wonderful outdoor experience for the family. With amazing small business brands that you know and love, contributing prizes and gifts for our goody bags, it wont be just the tea and tales you'll want to hang around for! Kicking off at 1:30pm we will be inviting the children to join us in our interactive re-telling of the old classic Stone Soup. Storytelling, rhythm & rhyme as well as role play promise to keep your children occupied whilst you take in the scenery of the Grow Mayow allotment. Join us for tea from 2:30pm where Small & Wild will be serving hot cups of their delicious herbal tea for tasting. There will be a competition and the opportunity to grab a goody bag too! From 3:00pm we start a fresh workshop based around the wonderful story The Way Home for Wolf, a tale about independence and knowing that it's OK to ask for help when you need to. Storytelling, rhythm & rhyme with role play will help to cement the beautiful message with the children, giving them something wonderful to reflect on as they too make their own way home at the end of a busy afternoon. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/winter-tales-tea-with-swp-tickets-215204641877?aff=ebdssbdestsearch
  3. We had our bike shed broken into at 6am this morning and a black BMC road bike was taken. Photo attached. If anyone sees it or spots it for sale please get in touch. Crime has been reported. Thanks
  4. Academic and music teacher wanted for year 1 child. We are looking for someone who brings a fun approach to learning and will supplement the school curriculum, focusing first on numeracy and introducing piano music over time. One hour per week on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday after school at our home in Nunhead. References required. Please PM me.
  5. We've recently completed a loft conversion with Benchmark Lofts and wanted to pop a note on EDF to recommend them. Tom, Jamie & team were brilliant from start to finish. They were very open to our design ideas and had lots of great suggestions too. Everyone was polite and hard-working and the noise and disruption levels were kept to a minimum. We're really happy with the finished product and to have had lots of compliments on the work.
  6. We recently had Luke from Sage Garden and Landscape Designs put in some new fencing, bespoke trellis and hardwood (balau) decking. He and his colleagues were hard-working and we're really happy with the finished product. Luke Conrad www.sagegardensandlandscapes.co.uk 07740 873 429
  7. Hi I'm looking for a babysitter for my 16 month old daughter for Saturday 20 December (and then occasional dates as and when). We have been very lucky that family have always been available when we need someone to look after her up to now. Looking for someone who is really reliable, friendly and good experience with toddlers. I think it is likely that we will need to leave the house that night before bedtime so would like someone who is comfortable putting her to bed - she can sometimes struggle with going down. If you're able to recommend anyone then do let me know! Thanks :)
  8. I know David and his team at Expert Decorators have loads of good reviews on edf but they totally deserve it. We're really happy with the job they have done re-decorating most of our house, including stripping and re plastering 3 rooms and painting throughout. They were prompt, efficient and very polite. David has great attention to detail and made sure that everything was completed to a fantastic standard. He even did extra bits free of charge. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again. David's number is 07562716238
  9. Hi there About to embark on replacing 7 windows with double glazed timber sash and returning all existing sash windows. Has anyone used Tony at glazierjoinerhernenill.co.uk? Would love to hear your feedback! Thanks
  10. We're (hopefully) moving house in the next few weeks and the front door of our new house needs some work. It's a bit rickety and we think it might be the original (at least it has the original stained glass panels) so would be keen to restore it, draught-proof it, replace locks and generally make it more sound. I guess we may also decide to replace it entirely with a similar hardwood door with glass panels. Can anyone recommend companies or tradesmen? And if you've had similar work done do you know approximate cost? Thanks!
