  1. I also wanted to highly recommend Jon?s services. He has been cleaning our windows inside out for the last year and his service is impeccable. He takes pride in doing a great and thorough job and is very friendly and reliable. Top marks.
  2. Hi, I have lost 1 large box "Mondful Chef" that was meant to be recycled and a flat box containing an aluminium signboard "Barbara Samitier Gardens". I can't find them anywhere, so thinking back I think I must have left them on side of the road while unloading car somehow..somewhere in East Dulwich.. Please PM me if you've seen them.
  3. My daughter has been attending the Arts Factory (https://www.theartsfactory.london) for a term now and totally loves it! She loves the teachers, she says they are warm, kind and ?get her?. I always look forward to what she is going to bring back home after her class as it is always quite spectacular and miles away from the contrived colouring or ?cute? art she might have brought back before from similar art and crafts offerings. I think Arts Factory strikes the right balance between teaching the children some skills and techniques, introducing them to artists such as Frida Kahlo and encouraging them to express themselves in a non judgemental way. Oh how much I wish I had met such art teachers when I was growing up!
  4. I'm looking for someone to repair/replace the external mouldings at the front of our Victorian house. I'm not sure where to look.. Can someone recommend a stone mason/ plasterer, specialist? Many thanks
  5. I would second this recommendation. Jon came before last Christmas to customise some Ike shelves and fix some internal storage to existing wardrobe and other bits and bobs. He was excellent and very professional.
  6. I highly recommend Julian Richards for cabinet making, carpentry, interior joinery. I needed someone to build a desk and shelves in an alcove for my daughter and not only was he the first one to get back to me but he was the best price too and inspired confidence. I was very pleased with the result but now having heard my very fussy (but brilliant) decorator being impressed by the quality of the work (a first!), I thought I'd owe to put a recommendation on this forum and share the news. His details are: Julian Richards The London Fitted Wardrobe Co. Mob: 07931 520 713
  7. Hello, I need some help with jet washing and scrubbing our patio which is very mucky. Is that something you would be interested in? Many thanks Barbara
  8. Hello, I'm looking for a tiler who has experience with laying encaustic tiles over underfloor heating. Any recommendations? Many thanks
  9. I would recommend Helen Jermyn. I don't know if she does family pictures but she did a fantastic job with professional head shots. I'm really not a natural in front of the camera but she made me feel very comfortable and the result pics are excellent. http://www.jermynphotography.com
  10. Hello, Could anyone recommend a good structural engineer? Many thanks
  11. If you are a topographical surveyor and are interested, please send me a PM.
  12. I got my Iphone screen replaced at the Computer repair place on Pelatt Road (can't remember their name), it was super quick and cheap, I think I paid ?30, which was much cheaper than what I had been quoted anywhere else.
  13. Hello, I have an old pair of curtains that I would like to transform into a bedspread. Please PM if you're interested. Thanks
  14. We've had our roof parapet walls redone and bits and bobs repaired a few months and indeed great great work. I meant to post a recommendation on the forum since, just haven't got round to it... This thread has prompted me to do it: Russell and his team, including the scaffolders he works with, were a joy to work with and delivered an excellent service.
  15. I would like to recommend Cecile Bell. She hast just designed a couple of rooms for us and we are delighted! Her attention to detail (she really went beyond the brief for us, proposing up to 4 bespoke designs for our existing built in wardrobe's handles, which indeed will transform them completely without spending much at all), understanding of what we wanted, subtle use of colour and the way everything ties in really exceeded our expectations. I must admit I hesitated a lot before hiring her as it felt really indulgent and a bit extravagant to hire an interior designer. I like to think that I'm quite good at interior design myself but the truth is I don't have the time it requires to pull it off and now that I've seen her designs I realise how much a professional interior designer has to offer. I couldn't have never come up with such a lovely scheme! Her number is: 00 44 7941 469495 / email: [email protected]
