Hello, I am doing a counselling training aimed at working with children and adolescents and need to find a family willing to allow me to visit the family home to observe the development of a baby. The observation should begin shortly after birth until around the time of the first birthday. I would visit the family home for one hour on the same day and time each week, arranged to be convenient for the family. The aim is to enable me to observe a baby growing up in a one hour snapshot of ordinary everyday life, over a period of a year. Mother-Infant Observation is a central part of the course. The opportunity to observe the real life development of a child is helpful in gaining a better understanding of the theory of infant and young child development, studied on the course. Participation is entirely voluntary and should the family feel at any point they want to withdraw from the agreement, they are completely free to do so. If you are interested or have any further questions, please contact me via my email. I look forward to hearing from you! Doris
