  5. Hello Just wanted to flag there's a rather brazen fox living and roaming around the gardens in this area. Found it stood in our kitchen whilst making tea this morning. All fun and games but we have a small baby so not really ideal. Wanted to make sure other parents in the area are aware. Probably harmless but worth being vigilant.

  7. Hi Black cat newly hanging around a bit and miaowing in the gardens behind nigel/anstey road houses in peckham. Normal behaviour for a cat but not sure if it's lost so thought we'd drop a line on here. No collar.
  8. Hello Silverbirch Did you find someone for this position? I am Peckham Based and have lots of PA experience, I will send you over my CV if you are still looking? Kind regards Emily
  9. Hello Friends and Neighbours I've seen a few dormer loft extensions starting to go up on nearby streets. One day I had hoped to do a loft conversion but have now discovered that I have too low clearance in the loft. Even with lowering the ceilings I will be unable to do a loft conversion unless I am allowed to raise the ridge of the house a little. Raising the ridge would require planning permission, and said permission is unlikely to be granted - although planning laws have been relaxed slightly and there is some hope for the future perhaps. I am banking on the regulations changing because I had hoped to live in this house a long while, and raise a family here, and have the kind of family life where others come to stay in a spare room instead of on a sofa bed - so a simple dream. (And not just about equity.) I imagine I'm one of an increasing number of people in this position, I'm wondering if there is anything we can do about it? I understand the importance of planning laws to protect the aesthetic of the area, and I support that myself. But surely at some point the council is going to have to look to the slightly more liberal/progressive policies of e.g Wandsworth and Islington Councils, and follow suit? We are in the middle of a housing crisis and Southwark itself acknowledges that we need more family homes, and since the housing isn't homogenous around here anyway after so many houses were bombed in the Blitz, for how long will max. half a meter on the ridge height continue to be a serious issue? Would like to know if anyone is actually having the same issues and would welcome thoughts and arguments for each side of the case... With thanks Emm
  10. Hello EDF Looking for someone who is available to do some jobs in a garden on Anstey Road I need 6 slats of decking to be replaced/re-laid and 2 fence panels fixed to their posts, as they have been damaged. I have a quote for the stuff from Whitten Timber. Looking also for someone to give the garden a bit of a tidy up generally, mostly pruning over grown shrubs and some weeding... AND FINALLY! Someone to fit 2 internal doors into their frames. I would be very grateful for any quotes or suggestions for all or ANY of this work as it's a particularly busy time of year to have someone set fire to your back garden... Thank you!
  11. I have also used John and his team and they were great, fitted a new boiler within 2 days of me first getting in touch and were very lovely and tidied up after themselves. Time will tell how good the boiler is ( ! ) but will certainly be using them again and for the servicing.

A great combination. Niko just came round (same day I called him) sorted out a blocked sink no fuss. Recommendations-wise I think this previous post pretty much nails it!
