  1. I hired David to repaint my one bedroom flat after finding him in the forum. He was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Honest, hard working, flexible and punctual. He did a great job refreshing each room in my flat from top to bottom, and went the extra mile to ensure I was fully satisfied. I found David to be everything you would want from a tradesman and will certainly use his services again and be happy to recommend him to others.
  2. Standing desk for sale. Great condition. Barely used. Height adjustable as per the measurements in the diagram. Selling for £50 (purchased for £100).

  5. Hello, I'm looking for recommendations for tried and trusted carpet fitters operating in the local area.

Ah, that's very kind of you to make up a bespoke QR code for the film. Thank you.

Thank you and really glad you liked the film. An interesting suggestion about QR codes. Not sure of the logistics/admin/cost of setting something like this up, where I'm sure the shop owners will have other things they'd prefer to display/promote above my little film! Hopefully it's easily searchable enough online to find without QR.
  8. That's kind, thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
  9. Hi everyone, I'm a resident on North Cross Road and decided to make a little film about the street and some of the people who live and work here too, exemplifying different aspects of the local community and celebrating life on the street in our little pocket of South London. The film is now live on YouTube with a direct link below, hopefully it's something members of the forum and wider local community can enjoy. Hope you like it!
  10. I'm looking for a trusted handyman to help with a couple of small jobs in East Dulwich this week. Both jobs can easily be done within social distancing rules. Recommendations welcome.
  11. Something that might be of interest to parents/teachers/teens keen to take part in something creative and fun during lock down ... The Louise Rennison National Funny Award - is a new writing and performing arts competition designed to showcase the creative and comedic talents of young people in the UK. The free to enter competition is open from April 1st, with submissions closing on August 31st, where a panel of judges ? including presenters, comedians and writers ? will select the overall competition winners ? set to be revealed in October. The competition falls into two categories: - Comedic Writing (up to 1,000 words of creative copy ? this could be a short story, a script, a screen play, a book chapter or an article for a magazine or newspaper). - Comedic Performance (up to three minutes of video ? this could be a scene for a film, a TV show, a play, an advert or a stand-up performance). Submissions will be judged in two age bands: 11 to 14 and 15 to 18 with the option to enter as an individual or a group (up to four people maximum). 12. I'm using my DSLR as a webcam to record interviews for a work project, but need an HDMI Out to link from my camera to my laptop. I am using the USB at present but there is a lag. I also have a Cam Link but that needs an HMDI cable too. I'm desperately searching for a cable or a converter as I'm currently having to postpone interviews until I get one ... the idea of posting here was in the hope someone would have one locally I could buy for speed, Amazon has delivered a few that don't work and the delivery times are increasing all the time, I'm missing some important calls!
  13. Yes but, it's for work. Having already placed orders for cables and being sent the wrong ones, I can't wait for further delivery times ... which are now getting longer. I was hoping someone local might just have one they don't need/use I could buy.
  14. Very helpful thank you. Wish I'd thought of that earlier ... oh wait!
  15. Hello, I'm looking for an HDMI to HDMI cable that fits a micro HDMI port on a Canon E0S 250D DSLR camera, leading to a regular HDMI port on a laptop. I've ordered a bunch of cables online and none of them fit, and with nowhere open locally that sells what I need(already tried Argos etc), I was hoping someone in the forum could come to the rescue?
