    Because many of the parishioners are elderly or children and they are usually dressed to the nines. The churchs are often a specific denomination and have a large catchment area.

    I live near a church. It was a church when I moved there, sometimes irritating when they have a special event but I knew what was happening and live with it. Having stewards to organise parking seems a very good idea and would reduce the chaos and dings that sometimes happen.

    Car get broken into frequently. Thats why people like to be near their car at home. Ofcourse its not always possible but to just say cars have locks, well ....
