  1. I'd be really interested in a zero waste shop locally....

I've been trying to buy as much as I can plastic free - taking my own containers to the butchers etc... Sainsbury were OK about me re-using one of their deli plastic pots which I took with me, and wanted olives....

On Inside Out last night they mentioned a zero waste shop in Battersea - I think it was this one...

I've also bought a few products form this great website - https://andkeep.com - plastic free cotton buds (which come in a cute paper box) and some Beeswax wraps, which are brilliant... I believe Karavan Eco also sell the wraps...

Do keep us updated if this shop happens!

  2. I went to Spinach on Friday night with a friend, and I thought it was great!

The interior is lovely - whitewashed walls, and lots of greenery? and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

There is a choice of tapas style dished (about ?6 a plate) and main dishes to have yourself?.

My friend and I had 5 sharing dishes between us - which we on;y just managed (eyes bigger then our bellies!) and they were all lovely..

It's not a vegetarian restaurant - but vegetables are a main focus? chicken thigh with squash puree, quails scotch eggs in variety of veggie coatings, prawns with amazing herbs?.

    Lovely wine list too

Don't be put off by the 'fake' reviewer?.

I'll definitely be heading back - it's a great addition to the Lane

  3. Hello

This morning I stupidly forgot to pick up one of my bags at then bus stop, and got on the bus without it?. By the time I realised and raced back it had gone?.

I was at the bus stop at the southern end of Lordship Lane (Wood Vale - by the new flats up there) and got on the 363 bus.

It's a blue nylon tote bag and has my iPad, paperwork and gym kit in it.

If anyone happened to pick it up, or saw it, please let me know.

    Many thanks

    Ally

  4. Hello

Are there any strong men, (or women or course) that might be able to spare a little time this evening, helping to move my old range type oven out my flat (it's ground floor) and into the area in front of my flat, ready for collection?

I'm at the southern end of Lordship Lane, near the old Harvester pub, and if anyone can help me and my builder, shift the huge heavy thing, at about 7pm it would be much appreciated!

    Payment in wine or beer?!

THANKS FOR THE OFFERS - SUCCESSFULLY MOVED NOW!

  5. I was also there last night and the food was great - The evening menu is rather different - between 3 of us we shared a lovely bowl of hummus and crusty bread, bean and chorizo stew, and a rather fabulous feta and spinach (I think?!) tart, with salad.... which had beautiful pastry.... and then there may have been some naughty puddings! Chocolate brownie with ice cream and an orange bread and butter pudding - yum!

All washed down with rather a lot of wine!
