So are you saying that smoking these awful vape things are not harmful to someone’s health Alan? I think Sue’s reply to my question explains about how vapes are addictive and also contain very high amounts of nicotine which is the main culprit for smoking related deaths? Can someone tell me how much a vape thing costs?

Thanks for that Sue. Explains the vapes very well. And no, I wasn’t thinking of starting using them myself but curious as to the additive side and cost. Very sad situation seeing young people vaping when it’s just as bad as cigarette smoking.

Having reached the ripe old age of 62 without ever trying a cigarette, I wondered how much vapes cost? My parents were avid cigarette smokers as were my in-laws and sadly they paid the price. Can’t believe £20 is the norm for a packet of fags now as a family member is still a heavy smoker much to my sadness. I often see young people in the local newsagent etc choosing a vape flavour like cherry or strawberry as if it’s a normal part of their lives and holding up the queue because they can’t decide. So can anyone explain the cost of a vape thing and are they addictive?

I’ve been on the forum every day and some posts just suddenly pop up like this one which suddenly had some replies, which I’ve not seen until today? Is there some kind of delayed responses to not just this subject but other subjects on the forum? Just curious.

Suppose it depends on how many Christmas cards from family and friends you’re waiting to receive. It’s been the Christmas period so surely give the post delivery service some leeway. Like Sue I’ve not posted off so many this year but some I still write letters to e.g my late mum’s cousins and other family but hey ho that’s something I do and enjoy. I used to hand deliver Christmas cards to a lot of neighbours on my street but gave up this year as realised that most of them I don’t see or speak to and can only count on a few to call a true friend or neighbour.

Yes I know. Was just putting on here what I’d overheard about Calton Avenue. Denmark Hill and Ruskin Park are hotspots for phone snatching recently.

Was in a shop in Herne Hill last week and overheard a woman saying she’d had her phone snatched by someone on a bike in Calton Avenue.
