untilDuring this relaxed and friendly session, you will be given instruction on how to make a Christmas wreath before using your creativity to make your own. Treat yourself or a friend this Christmas to your wonderful creation. Who is it for? 18+, the class is beginner friendly. There will be a free glass of wine and all materials will be provided (non-alcoholic options will be available). About L'Arche Our Community includes over 30 people with learning disabilities, who we support at home and in our workshops. Alongside them are our faithful community members, volunteers, friends, and neighbours, all of whom play an integral role in fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Additionally, our team of dedicated L’Arche assistants adds further support and care to our core members. We also have a wide-ranging programme of day activities, which is open to people with disabilities living in or outside L’Arche. We work with individuals to develop daily living skills, we make space for creativity and fun and we are passionate about helping people to reach their goals. The hubs for our activities programme is our two amazing workshops. Our large community garden workshop is where we support people to harvest and grow fruit, vegetables and flowers. We sell some of our produce locally and share the rest between our Community houses and friends. In our craft workshop, people make and sell beautiful products, such as handmade cards, candles, embroideries and much more. Our talented drama group creates its productions, scripts, costumes and props from scratch and performs in local churches and theatres.

untilDuring this relaxed and friendly class, you will learn the art of candle-making using UK sourced paraffin wax and how to make pillar candle with botanical elements, e.g. dry flowers or spices. By the end of the taster session you will know the basics of making pillar candles and take home one candle decorated by using dry flowers or herbs. Please note: Your candles may not have set by the end of the session and so you might need to collect them at a later date. untilGet creative in this session to decorate your own glass tea-light holder. You’ll be able to keep your creation to use as the evenings get longer, or you can gift it to a loved one. Who is it for? For families aged 4+, no experience necessary. All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session. untilBe inspired by spooky stories in this fun and interactive drama workshop for children and their families. Together, we will learn acting techniques through energizing body warmups, expressive dances and exciting games in a welcoming and inclusive environment. We will use props, improvisation, collaboration and our imaginations to explore the theme of Halloween! The structure of the day is as follows: Welcome Icebreaker activities Body, Face, Voice Warm Ups Imagination Warm Ups Group improvisation These workshops are designed for children aged 4 – 11 and their grown-ups. All under 18s must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult throughout the workshop, and we encourage everyone to take part together.
