Thursday 3rd July | 7pm-10pm | £30 | Advance booking essential Ready for a summer night of community, conversation and a little comms glow-up? ☀️ We’re turning up the vibes for a one-off Summer Party edition of Pints & Purpose , our monthly meet-up for women and non-binary business owners, creatives, freelancers and founders. This time we’re heading to Southey Brewing Co in Penge, a brilliant local brewery with big community spirit. Expect relaxed chat, proper connection, and a guest speaker who really knows their stuff. 🎤 Guest Speaker: Rosanna Head on PR & Communication for Small Businesses Hi, I’m Rosanna, a seasoned PR and communications specialist with over 20 years of experience helping businesses shine, tell their stories, and connect with the right audiences. In my talk, I’ll be diving into why public relations and clear communication are absolutely vital for small business success especially in today’s fast-moving, noisy world. Whether you’re a one-person band or growing a team, understanding how to share your story is what helps you stand out, build trust, and grow with confidence. I’ve worked both in-house and agency-side with a wide range of UK and global brands, across corporate and consumer PR. I also hold a degree in PR and Marketing Communications – but more importantly, I’ve got plenty of real-world stories and insider tips to share! 👋 Come say hi or follow me online, I love a good chat about all things PR, brand visibility, and how to craft a strategy that actually works for your goals. In this session, we’ll cover: ✨ The key ingredients of any successful PR and comms strategy ✨ Common mistakes small businesses make when trying to get press coverage ✨ How to confidently talk about your business in a way that gets attention (for the right reasons!) ✨Where to start if you’ve never done PR before Whether you want to pitch to the press, improve your brand presence, or just feel clearer about how to communicate what you do, this one’s for you! Rosanna's website / Connect with Rosanna on LinkedIn 📍 Where? Southey Brewing Co in Penge (upstairs) 🎟️ Tickets: £30 (Only 40 available!) Includes entry, speaker session, and your first drink on us 🍻 Spaces are limited so book early! We’d love to see you there. ✨ All women (cis, trans) & non-binary business owners and freelancers welcome. How to book: When you book your ticket to the party you'll be asked which pizza you'd like to pre-order (there'll be slices rather than whole pizzas each!) and which track you'd like to request for the playlist. What to wear: As it's our summer party we have a completely optional dress code - the Pints and Purpose brand colours are orange, white and cream so you could come wearing something in our brand colours, if you like! About our Guest Speaker – Tasha Shaw on: Embracing & understanding procrastination for better business flow Hi I’m Tasha - a coach, cheer-leader and empowerment mentor for entrepreneurial mums navigating the challenges of business and family life. Procrastination doesn’t just stall your progress — it can be a massive drain on your momentum, confidence, and general excitement about running your business. In my talk I will show you how to learn from procrastination, so you continue to stay motivated and able to nurture that spark that started you off on your entrepreneurial journey! My path to becoming a life coach was actually born from a curiosity about my own struggles with procrastination. 5 years ago I was the self-confessed 'Queen of Quitting’. I had decided to change careers, but it soon became apparent that I had an inability to stick to goals, courses, projects – anything that would potentially move me forward in life! – After becoming increasingly frustrated with myself, I realised there was something deeper at play. I’ve always been fascinated by how our crazy minds work, so I spent the next few years diving deeper into understanding human behaviour and learning the real reasons we delay the things that matter most. (Spoiler alert: it’s NOT laziness!) By discovering the hidden causes of my procrastination, I was able to: 💫 Stop beating myself up for not doing enough 💫 Create goals that were more aligned to my values. 💫 Feel more motivated to move forward and take action 💫 Create flow in my business and use my time more efficiently 💫 Make heart-led business decisions with confidence! In this session, I’ll break down what procrastination really is, why it shows up in your business, and how to shift it so you can make decisions with certainty and ease! About the Venue Three Hounds is a friendly and popular bar near Clock House station, known as a real community hub. We have exclusive use of the downstairs area with tables and chairs for the evening. Please note: This space is accessed via approx. 14 steps.
