  1. I am looking to redo the family bathroom in my home. The current bathroom is very outdated, so we are thinking this will need to be a complete renovation. We are looking for someone who can advise on not only design ideas but also (and more importantly) practicalities such as changing the layout (including potentially moving plumbing). I need more design advice than a decorator or bathroom fitter can provide, but is the person I am looking for an interior designer? A bathroom designer (do people specialise in just bathrooms?)? Thanks in advance for recommendations.

    Niko the Plumber.

Another strong recommendation for Niko! As a first time buyer, I was new to choosing my own tradespeople, and Niko was recommended by a neighbour. My jobs were simple -- checking a macerating toilet, replacing the internal water mains stopcock valve, and replacing the tap on a bath so it could become a shower -- but he did them very efficiently and professionally. His prices were very reasonable. He gave good advice on all of the above projects and really cared about helping me adjust to being a homeowner, making sure I was making the best decisions for my house in the long term. This sort of advice is invaluable when you don't yet know what you are doing! I will absolutely be calling him again.
