Hi everyone!
I’m Shaun, a Chemistry graduate from the University of Bristol, current PhD student at the University of Bath, former lab demonstrator from the University of Oxford, and (most importantly) East Dulwich born-and-bred. Coming from Dulwich Hamlet Junior School, I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels at the Charter School North Dulwich, got all 9s, 8s, As, and A*s and am now offering Chemistry and Maths tutoring for GCSE and A-Level students within the area.
I’ve worked in real research labs—from battery chemistry at the ISIS Neutron & Muon Source to phosphorus chemistry at Oxford to the weird boron chemistry I’m doing as part of my PhD—and I’ve spent a lot of time supporting students in practical sessions. All of this has helped me get really comfortable explaining tricky ideas in a clear, down-to-earth way. I am also enhanced DBS checked, and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I’m patient, friendly, and happy to tailor lessons to whatever you need: exam prep, revisiting class content, confidence building, or just making the subject feel less intimidating and dealing with exam anxiety.
