The dog that killed the cat is NOT the white dog with patches. The owner of the white dog is very responsible. It's really important to not give out information about the incident if you weren't there. I started this thread because I thought it was important for other people to know what had happened NOT to start unfounded rumours. It's just not fair to post inaccurate information.

I got a similar reply. I was impressed at the speed in which I got a response.

No I didn't see the dog chasing the cat. I just saw the cat dead in the dog's mouth - no one could get the dog to let go of the cat. It was really a horrible incident. It took a long time to get the dog to let go. The dog's owner and the young boys with him just said it was normal behaviour for a dog.

The RSPCA are now involved. They have collected the cats body as evidence.

Unfortunately, I saw it. I wish I hadn't.

The police were able to contact the owner as the cat had a id tag. The cat was called Ollie and he was 2 years old. It was a brutal attack and the attitude of the young men involved was that - it was natural for dogs to kill cats, it's their nature. The not very helpful police officer agreed - but admitted that she had never heard of a dog actually catching a cat and killing it.

I tried to speak to the LA today - but got an unhelpful message back telling me to call the police. The owner of the cat has had a more helpful response from the LA, someone is going to come and speak to her about the incident.

I am concerned as the owner has no control over the dog and it could have been a child.

A staffordshire bull terrier who was being walked by its owner - off the lead - tore a cat apart this morning. The owner had no control of the dog. The police were called but said 'there was no offence to charge'.

I went yesterday and had a very tasty veggie samosa and pattie. It was really nice.

I plan to go back and try the breakfasts, which look nice.

School is back Wednesday as normal, as long as the weather doesn't get worse.

I use Buntings on the north end of Peckham Park Road. They are great and supply a number of local restaurants.

It's good for a coffee and sitting outside. Bar snacks aren't bad. Otherwise service is poor and food isn't that great. I have also been overcharged when I went with a large group.
