  1. Well, it might be patronising if it wasn't rather true. People do stand in front of tube doors and stuff up the whole system. Middle aged women who have spotted an empty seat are particularly terrible/terrifying. Years ago I used to carry the old-type hard briefcases. With good timing you could swing and clip the kneecap of the moron trying to push their way onto the tube as I was trying to get off. The resultant "ooouuuurrggggh" always brightened up my morning.

What you do in the privacy of your own car is entirely up to you. Though you might want to remember two words... Sydenham Woods.
  3. Hey, Brian Adams!! Welcome to the Winter of Disco Tent. Any chance of a quick rendition of 'Run to You' or maybe 'Summer of 69'? Just don't do that bloody Robin Hood song.
  4. How about a Winter of Disco Tent? We could put it on Goose Green.
  5. I had a friend who was an animal lover. I said to him, 'leave that sheep alone'.

I always thought it was the 'arse of a cow', which would be far more effective in the dumping, but sadly fails to rhyme with cow. Except perhaps in Scotland.

They are driving illegally. You are driving illegally. Why are you trying to feel morally superior?

Mind you, their motorways are much less busy.
  11. A new internet meme - "WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE TREES!!"
  12. Excellent - in that case maybe you can explain the thinking behind striking on Bonfire night. It's a dumb idea - why did you do it?
  13. Irish Coffee. May as well get a little tipple in.
  14. I'm starting the Coffee Party. Right now.

It was supposedly an ex-Guantanamo bay inmate. And I don't believe that - no security organisation reveals their sources.

    X Factor

Or Louis' standard "your definitely gonna be in the final" to just about every contestant.
  17. Without giving your addresses away, where is this conman operating?

Actually, he made a lot of his wealth in the music business before the X-Factor/Pop Idol shows started. The talent shows just allowed him to multiply his wealth and his profile quite considerably.

    Airport Security

Another security stupidity: each and every airline pilot goes through the same charade we do. If they are carrying more than 100ml of liquid two things happen: 1) The liquid is confiscated. This is a security risk 2) They are then given the controls to the plane, containing several thousand of gallons of aviation fuel. This is not a security risk. You couldn't make some of this stuff up.

    Airport Security

It is (thankfully) reasonably hard to bring down a plane. This happened at 24,000 ft and the pilot still landed safely (albeit minus one stewardess). http://www.jethag.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/243.jpg
  22. I see our ever-reactive airport security people are at it again. It is now not allowed for you to take toner cartridges of a certain size in your hand luggage. I wonder how many sodding toner cartridges have ever been taken onto a plane? I suppose we should be grateful they didn't respond to the Underpants Bomber like they have the Shoe Bomber, Toner Bomber, Drinks Bomber, etc. Really, most airport security is to look like 'something is being done'. They are always playing catch-up. It all just goes to show that good intelligence is the key. Seems like MI5/MI6 did a corking job on this one.
  23. Incidentally... looking at that photo again, what the hell do you make your rear tyres from??? They have seriously dented a bus!
