  1. I urgently need a builder's quote for some repair work to an external crack to the exterior of my house at the front bay window. Not subsidence and is fairly long-standing according to the surveyors report, but I need the quote in order to sell the house so the buyers can get the work done following completion.

Been let down a couple of times alredy, so really grateful for someone who can take a look (SE22 near Franklins) and quote ASAP.

    Many thanks

  2. Good luck with this Jon. I've just got myself a bike again after a few years and did a trial run last weekend - about 25 minutes from SE22 due north to EC3 via Tower Bridge. Hoping to start properly on Monday. As for cost Lane lover - ?350 for the bike (which I also use at the weekends for fun) and accessories plus maintainance, versus ?648 for an annual rail pass is a clear win.

Do you take the TFL suggested cycle route Jon?

  3. I've been using the line for over 6 years now and overall it's a really good and reliable service. The 7:29 is my train of choice and I can't recall the last time there was any problems.

If you don't have it already and have a smart phone, the National Rail app is brilliant. I have a 10 minute walk to the station and the live running times mostly removes any waiting time or disappointments.

  4. The mess of plastic bins makes my road look an environmental disaster. I particularly like all the blue bins left on the pavement by people who have no reasonable space for them or simply (reasonably) don't want them on their property. Thank you Southwark you complete tools. Perhaps if you/government outlawed the ability of the ever-increasing numbers of businesses/people to deliver what accounts for the 99.9% of the crap that comes through my letterbox, including from Southwark, then we would not all need these apalling plastic eyesores on our property/roads.

(I heven't read all the other comments, so sorry in advance for any repetition)

  5. Quote the Data Protection Act back to them as the reason why the personal data they hold must be accurate. You are helping them comply with their legal obligations by alerting them to their error and they should, at the very least, record the fact.
