My main question was - Did anyone no if Rye Lane was included in the regeneration? But no one seems to no. I understand what alot of you are saying but turning Peckham onto a poncy area is not what I would want either. Just a cleaner place to shop with less butchers that should be condemned as most of them have been on the news for illegal selling of lambs heads and so forth. They also keep cats to keep away the rats. Also the nail bars employ illegal immigrants.

Hi Louisa I didn't grow up here but I have lived around this area for over 10 years and Rye Lane was never really that great. I wish I had seen it the way you and others had. I have always felt this way about this street. And it's getting worse!! I had not seen your posts before but I agree with what your saying.

The redevelopment of Peckham Rye Station is great, but I haven't seen anything about Rye Lane. Does anyone no if Rye Lane is part off this? Rye Lane is a horrid place to shop, it's a shame because it could be made to be such a lovely shopping high street. How can Southwark allow dirty butchers and a stupid amount of nail bars and hair shops to keep opening there?

As long as they get rid of the dirty butcher shops, the untold amount of hair and nail shops.

Hi. I do cleaning for a friend of mine and regardless whether you are there or not if your being paid to do 4 hours that is what you should do. The lady i clean for is always there, but if she wasn't i would still do the same. You have just had a bad cleaner. Good luck with finding someone.

Fairlawn nursery is fantastic as is the school. My son went there, my daughter went to the school and i'm hoping my youngest is going to get in in january. Can't say a bad word about it. Good luck
