I can recommend Rupert Petersen who did my deck in East Dulwich about a year ago. He also did a larger one for my daughter last summer. He is highly competent and reliable. His mobile number is 07984-690211. I'm sure he will be happy to come and take a look and give you a quote.

Yaaaay! Safety at last...

Good luck to the new Councillors - you will be an exemplary act to follow, James. Many thanks for all your hard work on our behalf over the years.

I quite agree! Does anyone have any information on Harri's Kitchen? What sort of establishment is it? I shall miss Badger's too - been a customer for umpteen years...

A commendable example of what can be done with a little forward thinking and a co-operative community! Well done indeed.

Saied and his assistant Richard have done a great job tidying up my front and back gardens ready for Spring. He also had lots of valuable advice regarding what plants would look good where. Highly recommended.

Yipeeeee!

David Coombs at William Bailey Solicitors on East Dulwich Road...

Thanks for your responses all! Water back on but they are still working on the massive leak at the corner of Court Lane and Lordship Lane.

Anyone else have no water this morning - top end of Upland? There was very low pressure earlier today and now nothing at all. The Thames Water website says there are reported leaks on Friern Road and Court Lane, but nothing else that could be a reason...

How on earth did we sink to petty bickering on this thread... Stay on topic folks!

I'll certainly be along for a slice! Good luck with the new venture, Adam, and enjoy the helpful and constructive side of the East Dulwich Forum...

I wish someone would eat some of the snails in my garden....

How about carrying a small can of hairspray in your pocket....a quick squirt in the eyes will buy you valuable getaway time and it has no lasting effect.

Spot on, "enjoy". I agree 100%....

There's a lovely view (fog permitting) and a nice community atmosphere with lots of well wrapped-up local families on the green hill in front of Dawson Heights but it can be a bit muddy so recommend wellies (and sparklers) all round. Happy New Year EDF-ers!
-
Quite agree, DovertheRoad! All I can add is that it better be good when it finally does re-open...
-
Top of Canonbie Road off Forest Hill Road - fabulous views in both directions...
-
"Pato" means duck in Portuguese....
-
If you go up to Dawson Heights you get a view of lots of firework displays across London - and a fabulous sparkly view of the city by night....
Dress warmly, take sparklers, a Thermos of hot drink and.... enjoy!

Thank goodness for Wet Wipes and Dry Shampoo!

No water near Goodrich Road/Upland Road. Great! Just in time for the morning ablutions! Acc to Thames Water website there is a leak on Barry Road and one on Lordship Lane - assume they have cut off supply to deal with these...
-
Another recommendation for Aria and his brothers (A.F.E. Plumbing) who recently solved the problem of a leaking dishwasher connection promptly and efficiently. He would be my first port of call in any future plumbing emergency!

The Palmerston on Lordship Lane rents a spacious function room on the first floor with additional access to a large (child-proof) terrace....
