  1. I have a little footage of them walking by ours - thanks for posting! I’ll need to check the cctv further after work. I don’t think it will be much help, but I’ve also contacted another neighbour who might have better footage.

Unfortunately the footage doesn’t cover the house itself, but does show them sneaking in (not through the barrier)!!

  2. Medivet on LL have always been good and fair with my pets, so I would also recommend them. One of them had to be referred for eye surgery, and I had no reason to doubt anything from diagnosis onwards. I’ve also found them practical and kind.

  3. Yes it’s through your GP. Although the last time for me, as I couldn’t go up/down for the injections, they chanced a tablet form and it did the trick. I’d say to still go through your GP for that too, so they can monitor the dosage etc., not all the ones on the chemist shelves are the correct dose. But a GP will know by running a blood test if it’s needed or not :)
  4. So agree and I?m sorry to hear this. My father just came out of an induced coma/intubation because of it. Almost passed over three times. Mum wasn?t allowed visit as she was positive?. It was awful. Mum was only allowed in to say ?goodbye?, I was allowed 15 mins a day before that, but he didn?t know I was there.

Totally empathise with your post? Masks are such a minor inconvenience and Covid (for some) can have massive side effects:(

Oddly I shielded and I don?t know how I escaped it in ICU, that said I isolated afterwards and I began to get chest pains etc., but hadn?t tested positive before I isolated.. Wore full PPE, made some mistakes taking it off though!!

  5. A few weeks back I had to get an antigen test to fly and I used ?My health care clinic?- they had a testing place in the double tree at Victoria. Got there early, was seen early and results were quick. Before that had to bring my mum to a place in Croydon but it was really crowded etc.. the place I since used was much quieter etc.
  6. Just a little update, given some news reports talk about less booster uptake than they?d like.

At the beginning of October I got called for a booster, so I went to Kings, armed with an email from a study I am and the template letter from my conditions website outlining the third jab requirement (signed off by the medical society?s consultants etc). Kings refused to give me the booster, as if I needed a third jab, it had to listed as so on the vaccination system they are using. Fair enough, without writing a realm of detail - and I duly contacted my nurse who said the letters were being prepared and would be out in the coming weeks. I know the NHS is busy etc., but I have still not received the letter and I?m having to stay inside again etc.

I was meant to go back for blood test after receiving the third jab, so the study has called a couple of times to rearrange- but apparently lots of people with different conditions are impacted - and I gathered at Kings, I wasn?t the first person they had to turn away.

Hopefully the letters will come soon. Btw this is not the normal NHS letter, I?ve had that and various text messages etc..

  7. An excerpt from my study email: ? Importantly, the British Society of ?condition field name? is recommending that all immunosuppressed ?name of condition? patients should now receive a third dose of SARS-CoV2 vaccination?

And from my conditions website: It is not possible to know who will or will not have responded, so the JCVI is recommending that all people with certain conditions or taking certain medicines should receive the third dose. This is different from a ?booster? dose which may be needed as initial response to the vaccine reduces.

    What vaccine will I receive?

If you are aged 18 and over it is likely that you will get the Pfizer or Moderna (full dose) vaccine. The AstraZeneca vaccine may be given to people who have previously had this vaccine if there is a supply issue with the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

There?s tonnes more info? - but that?s just some excerpts

  8. IanR - that?s it, half dose of Moderna, I got muddled. And for the third jab they say to get a particular vaccine, but for the booster - they are a bit more flexible (my high level interpretation of a few pages of q&a on the my conditions website).

Basically if you are immune suppressed, it may be a good idea to check the particular advice been given for that condition/medication.

    Sorry if I caused confusion.

  9. Thanks Sue, that?s really helpful. I?ll see if I get something from Kings. Double check the booster/third jab point - I know I?m meant to get a third jab as opposed to booster. In my simplistic approach to understanding it, the third jab is a full dose of vaccine as part of the primary vaccination. Originally everyone got two doses for their primary vaccination. There are groups of individuals who are immune compromised for example, and they need a third full jab as part of the primary vaccination - as the results achieved with two jabs were not as good (this is my language).

The booster is a different dosage and is literally a top up - for those who have completed their primary vaccination (and they will have had good protection at that point).

  10. If you are immunosuppressed - double check whether it?s a third jab or booster that you are meant to get. I was getting confused with messaging from the government about a month ago, because third jab/booster sounds like same thing but it isn?t. Without knowing the deep ins and outs, I can only tell that whenever I do get called, I?ve to refer to my conditions website and a pre templated letter they have prepared, to say get a third jab (think measurements are different to booster). I also had an email from a study I was in, saying to get a third jab.
  11. If you check your lease it will lay out how often major works should take place. Sometimes though there can multiple notices issued but for various works, if costs are going to exceed ?250 per leaseholder for any one job.

However, if there multiple small jobs, less than the ?250 limit per job, there may still be a requirement for a section 20. if the jobs could be viewed as related e.g. repair a path, redecorate railings and build a shed, the costs of the jobs are added together and divided by the number of leaseholders etc..
