  1. I'm resurrecting this thread as the lovely company I work for (based near Kings Cross) now has a need for someone to help us on a part-time basis (30 hours per week). It's general office support for a small company (just over 30 employees) and we could accommodate someone who wants to spread the 30 hours flexibly to accommodate the school day. PM me if you are interested and I can send you more details.
  2. I too work for a small company and whilst I can't help directly, would recommend using agencies like Capability Jane who specialise in filling part-time roles. Apologies if you've already tried this route, but I found them a useful source when I was looking to recruit someone in to a part-time position.

    Good luck with your search.

  3. On recommendation from a friend, I used these ladies to sell mine. They are based in Bexley and you need to take the clothes to them. They offer you an upfront price for your clothes but thereafter take responsibility for selling them, either through their FB page or at various sales they hold. From memory, they take a reasonable percentage but as I didn't have the time to sell mine (or the inclination to do all the labelling etc!), I was more than happy for them to sell them on my behalf.

  4. Both my children (age 4 and 2) recently had their eyes tested at Paine and Hunter on Lordship Lane. We got an appointment quickly and the Optometrist was great with them - very patient and good at explaining what he was doing at every step. My kids thought it was great fun, which was not the reaction I was expecting from them!
  5. I would definitely recommend Kelly. I found her details here on the forum and she gave me a spray tan a few weeks ago before we went off on a beach holiday. The results were fantastic and it's really convenient that she comes to the house. She is also careful to apply a colour that looks natural. The whole process is really quick and easy and I will definitely be using Kelly again in the future.
  6. Earlier today somewhere between Goose Green and the police station, my son dropped his much loved comforter from the buggy. It's one of the 'jellycat' comforters - a light blue square of soft material with toy rabbit attached. If anyone happened to pick it up, can you PM me? We tried to fob him off this evening with a replacement but he was distraught at bedtime so we are keen to get the missing one back.

    Thanks.

  7. I think the same guy was operating in Landcroft Rd this afternoon. He told me he cleaned my neighbours windows but needed to get round the back of the house and would be back on Friday to do so. He was asking a lot of questions about when they would be home which roused my suspicions, so I checked with my neighbours tonight and it transpires they don't have a window cleaner. Definitely some dodgy goings on, I am just cross with myself that I didn't pay better attention to his appearance as I was busy when he called and am not sure I could give a description. He was going under the name of Dean.
  8. Hi Fuschia - have sent you a PM with some advice based on my own experience. You will get good care at the breast clinic at Kings and they will ensure you are on medication strong enough to fight the infection. Not sure if my experience was typical but on the postive side, I was able to continue to feed my son and wasn't admitted. However, during the early stages I was at the clinic twice a week to have the abscess drained. Good luck. I really hope you get better soon - it is a really miserable and painful thing to go through.
