Where to go to buy a pram?!?
Sunflower76 replied to Sunflower76's topic in The Family Room Discussion
A big mothercare by E&Castle would be ideal! I was just considering the Mothercare at Lewisham. I'm really keen to go to a shop first, and try them out. I've got a 14 month old, and still looking for the ideal stroller... x -
Hi there, I live in East Dulwich - no car, so public transport. Where is the best place for a wide range of prams? Is there a "Pram City" etc, that is accessible by bus/train? x Mel

I've found the staff very rude as well. Recently, I politely asked one of the staff to help me move my coffee and cake as I was changing to a different table, and she glared at me (so much that people nearby noticed!) - Bearing in mind, I had wriggling baby on my hip, and thought I wasn't asking the impossible. Then she proceeded to move one cup - and left the cake and saucers on the table. Don't think I left a tip that day!

Goose green baby group on Monday?
Sunflower76 replied to Sunflower76's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Sally, Ruth might be able to confirm for me, but as far as I know, the Goose Green baby group - at the Church by the big playground - is 10am on Monday to 12pm. ?1.50-?2 - drop in. Great for a 5month old too - lots of crawling space and toys. I will go check it out tomorrow. xMel -
Hi there Just wondering if the Goose Green baby group is running? Monday mornings. Not the sing and sign, but the other one... Thanks x Mel

Getting baby to sleep without sleeping bag!
Sunflower76 posted a topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi there I have a 1 year old, and now the weather is getting warmer and he is fast growing out of his sleeping bag, I'm wondering how to best introduce the blanket? My concern is that he will invariably kick off the blanket, and then he might get cold during the night... What does everyone do? I realise my baby can't be in a sleeping bag forever... Mel -
Hi there, I'm interested in which pubs in ED are showing the Royal Wedding. I can see in this thread that the Clockhouse is showing - but what about the Rye Pub? I've been trying to phone them all day, no answer! Does anyone know?

I always find that funny. Hi Edmummy - I'm Australian as well with a baby boy who has both passports :-) My friend in Brisbane, named her girl Sidney - so just spelled differently to the city. And I thought that was quite cute! My personal favourite girl's name is Maddison Grace. My surname is Kelly, but I would still consider naming my girl Grace Kelly. Think I can pull it off? lol

What to do with 10month old baby this week
Sunflower76 replied to Sunflower76's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I'm going to Peckham Pulse this Thursday, 1pm is Jelly Babies I've been told. The pool is a hydrotherapy one, and warm as a bath. I don't know where Deptford is? I don't have a car, so I'm restricted how far I can go. If you live in ED, the Peckham Pulse is quite good. -
How to meet other mums in East dulwich
Sunflower76 replied to Karen15's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I know alot of groups are closed due to holidays this week, and then Easter break will disrupt. I know the Monday morning Goose green was cancelled this week, and will not be running the next few Mondays... You can try the swimming pools. I've met Mums through Peckham Pulse hypdrotherapy pool. If you phone them, there are extra classes for babies this week!
