Azalea, it is Hair & Beauty at 79 Dartmouth Road, Forest Hill. Next door to the Alex TLC charity shop and opposite side to Forest Hill pools. The salon used to be further up the road towards FH station but moved to current location a few years ago. Closed on Mondays and Sundays. Phone number is 02086992020 My sister also goes to Adam, for cuts and colours/tints. If you choose to go there, tell him that Sue (and Jenni) recommended him 😉

Another recommendation for Adam on the Dartmouth Road. Have been going there for years. I will never go anywhere else (unless I move home to somewhere far away!) No faff, very reasonal price and nice atmosphere 👍

Hi, Could you please state, apart from towels, the items they need donated (bedding etc). Thank you. Sue

Why do cows wear bells? Because their horns don't work. 🤭

What's yellow and deadly? Shark-infested custard. What do you call a sheep on a trampoline? A wooly jumper. 😋

What did one snowman say to the other? "Can you smell carrots?".

What is the best time to book a dentist's appointment? 2:30 (tooth hurty) Had a great few chuckles just now, reading back over all the jokes - thanks to all 👍

Supermarket deliveries - Covid query
The Scorpion replied to Sue's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sue, I can commiserate as recenly two deliveries from Asda that I had were exactly the same, unbagged, despite the fact they still ask if you want and still allow choice of using bags for delivery. They charge for the bags but goods do not arrive in them. I had to pick up, bend, replace each item of a 5 crate order into my own bags whilst watched by the delivery guy, who suggested complaining about the manager of the local store from which goods were supplied as "Other stores probably still bagged goods". Seriously, I hate too much plastic but in these current times and with an often complaining back, I choose bagged for convenience, like, I am sure, many many others do, for their own reasons. If bagged is not going to happen, remove the option from checkout please! Not used Tesco for orders these past few months because of their exhorbitant delivery costs for non pass holders and constant past shoddy service when I was a delivery pass holder. I have had an odd issue here and there with different companies, and differing problems but accepted most, however, now, I am choosing to vote with my feet as some are getting very lax and I will not accept crap service at all anymore. I do appreciate all the hard work of employees of supermarkets etc. especially as my son is one of these key workers, but I am getting increasingly peed off with the "organisation" and running of many of these companies who have made a killing throughout the past few months, compared to others who have suffered bigtime. -
I am looking for a job. Which section to post in?
The Scorpion replied to The Scorpion's topic in The Lounge
Thank you very much Admin 🙂 -
Hi, advice needed please. I am looking for a job, which section should I post in please? I live in Forest Hill, frequent East/Dulwich and do not want to have my post deleted or moved because I may post somewhere unsuitable. I am not a trade, just currently unemployed and need to find a local job, so what section should I use? Thank you for any help given. Regards. Sue
-
Seconded. It would be very helpful if local businesses could post job vacancies available within East Dulwich and close surrounding areas and also, local people could post their availability for work. Because of the current situation, many are looking for work or may need help with work, locally. Thank you for considering.

Some zoos and animal parks are streaming live via webcams or re-showing live feeds etc. Please do not forget that whilst closed, they still need to feed these wonderful creatures. Enjoy and, if you do have any spare money that you cannot spend elsewhere, please donate. https://www.cotswoldwildlifepark.co.uk/animals-gardens/web-cams/ https://www.neaq.org https://www.chesterzoo.org https://www.marwell.org.uk/zoo/keep-in-touch/webcams https://www.paigntonzoo.org.uk/explore/webcams https://nationalzoo.si.edu/webcams https://www.edinburghzoo.org.uk/webcams/panda-cam/ https://www.folly-farm.co.uk/webcams/ https://www.zsl.org/zsl-london-zoo

The Scorpion replied to peckham.carboot's topic in The Lounge
Hi, It would be good, for informations sake, as a seller AND/OR a buyer, if you would state in this advert for your business, where the car boot sale will be, as I might wish to sell at it, or come along to buy. Hmm? Thank you & Regards Sue
