  1. Hey all, this is a really interesting thread. We've got a proposal in with planning at the moment to convert our butterfly roof. Following pre-planning advice (where they said it basically wouldn't ever happen because of the v, being in an unbroken line of butterfly roofs and seeing the structure from the street) we went back to the drawing board. We now have a proposal that can't be seen from the street, doesn't rise above parapet, doesn't destroy the v and isn't too big. Because various dormers have been put on the back of some of the houses, the look has already been spoilt. Now the only sticking point is the existing roof structure. We've been told if we can show some examples of successful conversions - especially in rows of London roofs, we MIGHT be in with a chance. Possibly. Does anyone know of anyone who has had success? I'll look at the suggested Nutfield road, choumert road and crystal palace road, thanks!
  2. Join us on Saturday for some serious festive fun at Goodrich Primary School's Winter Fair from 2-5pm.

It may be cold outside but it's warm in school so head on down for a one-stop-shop Christmas preparation day and family fun outing.

There's a reindeer rodeo - how long can you and your kids stay aboard for? There's a Harry Potter bouncy castle WITH slide!

The school choir will be singing for your delectation.

You can buy your Christmas tree and presents from a multitude of wonderful stalls.

The kids can visit santa at his grotto and choose from loads of great games to play. Then they can be face painted and have tattoos applied.

There's mulled cider, fizz, beer, hotdogs... The kids can't have ALL the fun, right..?

There is a ?1 entry fee for adults but kids go free. Looking forward to seeing you there at Goodrich School, Dunstans Grove, SE22 0EP

  3. Hi there,

I also have that slight fear of the two under two effect. My little girl is just about 17 mths. I'm also around on Wednesdays and Thursdays (although not for much longer because we have to move out next month while we have an extension sorted - all being well we should be home a couple of days before due date!!). If you and anyone else who's around fancies a last minute picnic in a local park tomorrow, say aye! Peckham Rye? Dulwich? Somewhere else?

Ta, Eilidh (funny spelling is pronounced Hailey without the H!)
