On the old forum, I could see where people endorsed the tradesperson, which gave me huge confidence in using them in fact also took up references for some and I also have my number as a referee if they were good or posted a “beware” notice if they weren’t (ie did a runner).

Now - how do I do this please?

I’m all for going local for an electrician but not if it means burning the house down!

Have looked and looked all over for somewhere local to Herne Hill / Dulwich for thread vein removal and chances on Ice Clinic in Beckenham. Really reasonable (compared to private) ?65 for session and apparently it also works on pigmentation, rosacea, leg veins etc.

Amy Stevenson was the contact there and her number is 0208 650 9595. She said she?s even offer a discount if you mention the EDF.

A 5 bed terraced house available immediately to rent unfurnished (there are however 2 beds) for ?1600 a month. The reason the rent is so low is that it is basic, but it has been tenanted for the past 8 years by university students so everything works (ie heating, boiler etc).

Hi, my son started a new school in Sept and all the boys are football mad. My son has the enthusiasm but is constantly put in goal and he lacks some of the core basic skills and understanding of the game. He doesn't want to join a big group at this stage - so I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some fun one-to-one football lessons (near Herne hill / Dulwich) just to get him up to a point where he can play with the others in his class. Has anyone seen or heard from Greg? He started our job but it needs re-doing completely and now, over 3 weeks later he is not returning calls, emails and we have an unfinished path, that has been done incorrectly and not as we wanted and we cannot track him down. Worrying. Greg - as per my texts I would really appreciate it if you reply and finish the job.

Just having coffee in new deli / bakery on Red Post Hill... At the top (not the Velo shop end) SE24. Called Christopher's. Amazing breads, cakes, meat platters etc Really lovely to have somewhere new and fresh!

We are embarking on some building works - for us they are pretty extensive (side return, take out chimneys, new kitchen etc).

Can anyone recommend a builder who is of a good / high standard but yet still reasonable please?

We have some quotes in already but most of these come from builders who are used to working in Clapham, Fulham, Chelsea, Wandsworth and so I just question if they are inflating the cost.
