  1. Yep! I think what I was looking for is a caseload midwife. However now it seems to be other things to worry...tomorrow morning I will call the midwifes from St Thomas to understand a bit better how things are suppose to work and when should I make my booking for a home birth with them. Thank you for all your advices!!
  2. well that's the thing... I don't really understand how things really works. We still haven't talk about where I am planning to give birth, I remember to ask by the second appointment about a home birth, they explain me about two midwifes coming to your place to help you with the birth, but anyway was still too early to talk about it (was their opinion). I am with St Thomas Hospital, all the midwives I met until now are very nice, but I would really appreciate something more personal.
  3. Hi everyone...I was wondering if somebody will be able to help me I am planning for a home-birth (since the beginning of my pregnancy), I am now on my 35 weeks and I just found out that it seems to exist community midwives offering home-births working independently from the hospital and offering a much more personal guidance through pregnancy, as for example the Albany Midwives and the Brierley Midwives. I know that the Albany its been close, and the Brierly are already fully book for June (when I am due) and they also told me I live out of the area. I live in New Cross Gate. Does anybody know any other community midwives where I could try and give them a call to see If they would be able to help me with my birth. I really would like something more personal, as I still don't know much how my birth is going to work from the hospital midwifes, until now I just met different midwifes in every appointment, and of course, I don't know the ones that do home-birth!! Thanks!!!
