  1. A creative, fun and open to all abilities, modelling on clay class with a soul searching approach from an acclaimed artist every Wednesday 10-1 at Thomas Calton Centre, Alpha Street, Bellenden area. Limited places, call to book 02073582100

Calton Centre is one of the only few remaining adult, learning centres with excellent facilities offering the opportunity to re-connect with the artist in you. The class in question has something to offer to outright beginners and accomplished artists alike. Do something good for yourself today and call to enrol.

    A very happy current student

  2. My daughter thinks that someone may have picked up her trainers after they fell out of her bag opposite JAGS. After she realised she had dropped them, she went back the way she had come and they weren't anywhere. This happened on Monday in the morning. The trainers are Nike Air Force 1 in white. They are size 6. I was just wondering if anyone has picked them up or seen them as my daughter is very upset.
  3. Dulwich Medical Centre appear to be an oversubscribed surgery. Given the near impossible task of getting through to them on the phone and the sobering experience of having to explain one's symptoms to the receptionist (hardly a medical person)in the unlikely event of finally getting through, the answer, invariably, is: Sorry, fully booked - try again tomorrow. If they were a school, the pupils would be able to attend class once a fortnight. This is simply unacceptable.

They have clearly stuffed their books with more patients than they can cope with in order to benefit from the patient premium. This smacks of greed and runs counter to all tenets of patient care. My family and I are so sickened by this that we will be looking elsewhere. It would be great if more people boycotted this type of surgeries so that such shameful practices become less prevalent

  5. Same problems here. It has been impossible to get an appointment with them. Several times I had to wait on the phone line for more than 15 minutes to be told there are no appointments available. Even for the nurse I had to wait 1 month. I don't understand why they were advertising for new patients lately if obviously they can not cope.
