I'm in and +1 or 2- still waiting for Amanda to check her diary!🙄

Sorry for your loss. I have previously used Uden's, Lordship Lane near The Plough and can recommend their professionalism.

I'm still away but I messaged Amanda- she said she'd like to go along!

I'd recommend Billy Hunter of Hunter Heating services.07986 296 453

Another recommendation for Stephen Tozer. I've just had carpets fotted to two bedrooms, landings and stairway. Really nice job! Lovely guy to deal with and a pleasure to have working in your home. Prompt, courteous, efficient and a good price!

I'm not in a conservation area and I did get some other quotes at the time

I used Taylored Lofts. They started at the beginning of February and had basically finished within 7 weeks apart from a couple of small snagging issues which they have resolved. They replaced the entire roof and repaired the top bay roof as well as doing a two bed and bathroom loft conversion.I found them very efficient and quite easy to deal with but I have used someone else for decorating.

I'm with Mick Mac on this one! I just don't get the Car share hype! Not going out gets my vote - and Lee Mack used to live in ED....
-
Tried the Sunday buffet yesterday and it was really good but a little limited on vegetarian options!
-
I've been meaning to try this place for ages and finally got there last week. Really good food and service and ambience. Highly recommended!

Really Brian??? I'm not a painter and decorator but I do have family members in the building trade who laughed even harder than I did when they heard what you were quoting! I found someone to do the work for a fraction of the extortionate price you were quoting and with a realistic timescale to do the work. My budget wasn't unrealistic but your quote was!

They came to quote for painting work at mine recently. Gave a ridiculously long timescale to do the job and overinflated price. And they were late for the appointment which is never a good sign.i hadn't noticed quite how many of the 'recommendations' were first time posts or I wouldn't have bothered getting them round.
-
Did you get any other quotes? I found they were ridiculously expensive when they came to quote and also that many of the posters recommending them were first time Forum posters, just like you Dermot!

I'm 5 weeks into my loft conversion and roof replacement with Taylored Lofts at the moment and much closer to completion than I expected. They are extremely hard working and efficient. The roof is finished, electrics done, the bathroom and tiling is complete, the stairs are in but the spindles and banister have yet to be installed. So far, I highly recommend them.
