  1. Hi all,

On Tuesday morning, at about 820, a brand new blue Anorak picnic blanket, fell out of a back-pack somewhere on Lordship Lane between Colwell Road and the bus stop outside the new school building site. We got on the bus and realised we no longer had it. We got off the bus an returned to look 5/10 minutes later but it had gone. If anyone found it and picked it up for safe keeping, please DM me. Very sad to have lost it: brand new and never been used.

    Thanks for reading

    Thanks for reading.

  3. We've finally decided to call time on DMC and are looking for a new GP, preferably someone who is good with children.

I tried to register with The Gardens after reading good reviews on the forum, but sadly we are not within their catchment area.

We're on Lordship Lane, near to the old police station.

Anyone happy to recommend their GP?

    Thanks

  4. Morning mums and dads of ED,

My husband and I took our little one (11 months) to the last Big Fish Little Fish event a couple of weeks ago and it was SO much fun I thought I'd share!

There's another one this weekend (Sunday) taking place at The Bedford in Balham so we're heading there again.

It's all about great DJs playing great music and the kids all loved dancing alongside their parents, all of whom were reliving their younger clubbing days! :-) There's a great chill out room where our little one hung out in a ball pit and made friends. There were cakes, confetti cannons, a bubble machine and babies waving glow sticks!

Anyway, it was fab. So I thought I'd share. Later in March there's another one in Brixton if you can't make Balham this weekend. But I do recommend as a fun afternoon out for the whole family.

Perhaps see you in there! :-)

  5. Whoever the dad is who goes to Rhyme Time, and plays the piano, I just thought I'd send out a Merry Christmas and a thank you for your fab piano playing! It livens up an already lively Rhyme Time!

    So thank you! :-)

Also to Christine who works at the Library (and did today's sing a long) - your energy is fantastic and you make it a great sing song for the little ones - and us parents too! So thank you and Merry Christmas to you too!

    :-)

  6. Afternoon all,

I'm 23 weeks pregnant with my first child, and recently a number of (non SE22) friends have said, oh you must put her name down at your preferred school now!

Is this the case for primary schools in East Dulwich I wondered?!

Before I start trawling Southwark website I thought I'd ask local parents what they did, didn't do, regret and recommend.

We're looking at state funded schools only. We're on Lordship Lane, close to Townley Rd.

Thanks in advance if you have a few moments to spare to answer my post!

PS is it the same for nursery places....?!
