  1. Hi

Just wanted to recommend Laurant Webb who has just completed decorating our hall stairs and landing, plus 2 bedrooms. The standard of the work is beautiful. The attention to detail is far beyond what I would have done. They were the tidiest tradesmen we have ever had and I am truly thrilled with the work.

Not only this, but he was really accommodating of our family situation. I needed it to be in the holidays as have a toddler and 6month old baby and did not want to be at home. He did this by bringing in a team of 4 and completed all the work in just one week!!! Search the forum as I did for other great reviews.

Cannot recommend Laurant highly enough. He can be contacted on 07776 187667 or [email protected]

  2. What a lovely thread! It is SO refreshing to see mums being honest about the reality of looking after little ones. I am a stay at home mum of 19month old and even though for one reason or another I haven't worked full time for nearly 3 years, I still miss it.

All I would say - like some of the others - definately make sure you get time EVRY week to do things for yourself. I am lucky w/ my partner (although I book in my time in advance to make sure I do it too) but will always do something. Meet with non-child rearing friend, cool knitting group every other tues at the mag, drop in yoga class, meeting other local mums for wine!

It is hard though. I feel really guilty when I am at home "playing" but have to remind myself that it part of bringing up kids.

Also, there is a stay at home mum group on here most tues morning.

  3. HI all

    Kim

  4. have you tried WAG in Brixton? Their bread is the best I have found and toasts well a few days later.

I have coeliac disease and an 18month old, and I worry that he has it... never really thrived as a baby, poor weight gain. One thing that has been recommended by Andrew Whitely of Bread Matters reckons that the heavily processed wheat has something to do with the rise... I am inclinded to agree to have been giving my son proper slow made bread! Just another angle to approach the minefield from! Here's to coeliac free babies!
