  1. Ellie at Myla and Davis in ED did mine last week on their family day. I took my 6 week old. She was brilliant. Gave me a completely manageable hair style that I can actually replicate at home in 5 minutes. Fab highlights. No foils - done using a paddle instead. I'd definitely go again.
  2. beautiful 4 bedroom villa to rent in Carvoeiro.

This is a pretty beach town on the Algarve coast. The villa is very well-equipped, with daily maid service in the week. 4 bedroom (2 twins and 2 doubles), 3 bathroom (1 en suite), 2 reception, pool (heated if possible for cost). Cot available on request.

Beautiful things on the doorstep too:

Lots of lovely beaches nearby (see Carvoeiro beach, caneiros beach, Ferragudo)

fab places to eat which are family friendly. Also good places for adults to indulge in excellent food and beautiful wines too!

Very near to Slide and Splash and Zoo Marine - great activities for kids. Gramacho golf course and Vale de Milhao golf course very close too.

Please see the attached link for pictures of the villa and of Carvoeiro.

You need to ring the agent at Villa Holiday Centre to book - but mention Anniche15 for this villa and you'll get a 15% discount.

    Any questions, PM me.

    Thanks

  3. Niko was great - came out on a few hours' notice to us in Se22. Fixed a toilet that has not suffered many fools trying to bodge it lightly. It now works. Joy of Joys. friendly professional and helpful. Will definitely use him again. Thanks Niko.
  4. day 1 of the cc regime and many tears and hot sweats have been had (not by me though). Same as you nikki - I work 4 days a weeks so have opted for this weekend to try and crack it. First nap at lunchtime took 1 hour - this evening's sleep took 40 minutes, which I think is quite good, and bless him he fell asleep standing up. He also looks at me in bewilderment when I go in and just put him on his back and walk out - not what he has become used to over the last few weeks at all. But for the sake of my sanity and sleep and general personality, I hope it works. I also agree with the naps thing - he is at nursery and recently reports home have stated he has a THREE hour nap at lunchtime... no wonder he can't sleep later. Will let you know how we get on ....
  5. Nikki - how did you get on in the end? I am also having very simialr problems with 18 month old who until the last few weeks, slept wonderfully from 7.30 - 6ish. We have had a lot of teeth coming through so I put it down to that to start with but now I think that waking up at 2/ish 4/ish every night has become the norm for him. Not for me... I am about to start the CC method of checking up on him every 5/10/15/20 minutes etc but it is awful to hear him wailing and I also feel bad that i have got him into the routine in the first place by placating him in the middle of the night (and then bringing him into our bed). Bambino no 2 on its way in August and I am worried about all of us never having any sleep (for toddler's and my own sanity). Will hunt out that book, thanks.
  6. Reneet/Princess - yes, let me know if that NCT intensive course is a refresher or not. I am due 11 August, with toddler of 15 months. I enjoyed the NCT classes last time, mainly because of the lovely group we met. I had an instant group of new and different buddies for the maternity leave. I'd like that again! My last birth was so drawn out at Kings, so perhaps it would be useful to do it again, but I think if I was with a group of first time mummies - to - be, without sounding patronising, I wouldn't want to ruin their fun and expectations with my words of doom about a long and painful birth! Hence why I wonder if it is a refresher or not.
