  1. Lived at the top end for 6 years and only just moved last year (not through choice). It's a lovely place to live but don't kid yourself- it's still Peckham/Camberwell! If you can afford the prices, I'd go for it. Investment wise- it's definitely on the up (although I wonder if it may have reached it's peak?)
  2. I'm just trying to get a measure of how commonplace it is to get this result back from the searches and how much it would put off future buyers. I feel fairly relaxed about it: any problems will be picked up by buildings insurance but I definitely don't want to be saddled with a property I can never sell because of this. Any body else out there come upon this dilemma?
  3. We're trying to buy a leasehold flat very near to Nunhead station. The searches have revealed there is a very high risk of subsidence. This conclusion has been reached 'based on analysis of historic insurance subsidence incidence data within a 0.5 km radius 0f the postcode'

The management company have no details of this and don't seem to be aware of the risk. Is the whole of nunhead/brockley subsiding and that's just the risk you have to take if you want to live in the area?

    Thanks

  4. Can anyone please give me some coherent information on the HA free primary which was opening this September?

I'm about to start the open day trawl for my son who will start Reception next Sept and I'm moving up that way. I don't know the area very well and keep getting random snippets and there's nothing up to date on the HA website.

    thanks

  5. Hi all! I need a bit of help here. I'm thinking of buying a house (edge of Peckham Rye/Nunhead) and the schools within a 0.5 mile radius are Rye Oak, Bellenden, John Donne and Hollydale. My son is only 2 1/2 at the moment but I reckon we won't move again until after he starts school. I've read the Ofsteds but you can only get so far with those. Personal opinions gratefully recieved.

    Many thanks

    Jade
