I think the value of the skip hire is just about evened out against those who dump stuff in it without asking.

I requested that they put one on Nunhead Green when there was the consultation prior to redevelopment. Unfortunately it never appeared. However there is one in Harold Moody park but one on the Rye would be better.

  3. Virgin broadband and cable was down from yesterday afternoon and still was down this morning when I left for work. No TV (we have no outdoor aerial) or internet all evening, I had to speak to my girlfriend, then decided on an early night.

Tried calling then and after 5 minutes of different options including a final option on what music I wanted to listen to (including an option of Britain's Got Talent winners), I had lost patience pretty much by then, hung on for a few more minutes before giving up.

Just hope it's back on tonight

Babur does excellent delivers, they are Brockley but would probably come to ED, I know they do Nunhead

  5. "new age travellers" (where have they gone??)

Most of them headed to Ireland or mainland Europe after the criminal justice act in 1994. There are still a few sites in the UK. Unfortunately ketamine seems to be killing the community though

  6. I don't think you're doing anything wrong unless you just want to board up the flat but if you have plans for it that's great, I hate to see a wasted building. Many squatters are reasonable so it is worth trying to talk to them.

That's not really true, a tube needn't be underground - see East London Line which stops at oh so far away Forest Hill

That's what she said, ok I missed the bit about a builder.

  9. So you want to spend a shed load of cash so that you can board up the empty property? How about speaking to the squatters and telling the they can stay there as long as they keep the place in good condition until you're going to use it. It'll stop it getting broken into again and perhaps used as a crack den.
