  1. Along with everyone else on this thread found Nick a really personable guy and he has done a great job on some general handyman work for us. We used him to plumb in a dishwasher, put up tricky light fittings and a load of annoying tasks like fixing in curtain rails and picture/ mirror hangings etc. Would absolutely recommend him and use him again. Also very child friendly and happy enough to have a slightly infatuated 1 year old follow him round as he worked.
  2. We are just finishing a job with them. they have been pretty awesome so far.

Very considerate, you wouldn't even know they were there half the time. Change things halfway through and advise on good options/alternatives. Even fixed some problems unearthed during the build for free.

Michael comes and quotes and he is a builder rather than a salesman so really helps talk you through things.

We did get quotes from a few and found others to be expensive, unrealistic and rude in some cases.

Any questions then ping me a note.

  3. Another recommendation for Saied.

He has transformed our garden in a matter of days. He sourced and ordered everything and so we didn't even have to think about it. During the works he unearthed a few problems but worked through them and stuck to his original quote.

I will definitely use him again and would certainly recommend him.

  4. Hi,

I require someone to help fix a few jobs in my kitchen.

The jobs mainly involve sanding down and varnishing our work surface and removing one cupboard to take a bit off the length of the work surface as it has expanded and is putting pressure on the side of a cupboard meaning it can't close properly.

    Any recommendations greatly received.

  5. Hi,

I have a few small jobs I need doing on my kitchen, they are...

    - work surface has expanded pushing into cupboard so cupboard needs to be removed and small bit of work surface shaved off.

    - wooden work surface is a bit dry and patchy so need is slightly sanded and oiled again.

I imagine that it'll be about a days work.

If you have any recommendations then please let me know.

  6. Hi,

PJ (Paul Newnham) is currently doing my kitchen and bathroom and the whole experience has been great.

Competitively priced, we have had a range of issues with B&Q but he spent time making good what B&Q messed up.

He advises on options and makes sure you are happy before finishing. A very nice and honest guy to deal with and we are very happy with the end result. If you are getting quotes then ask him along.

    His website is www.pjinstallationsservices.co.uk

    Can't recommend highly enough.
