Anyone flown long haul with new baby??
MumToBe88 replied to Sunlover00's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Oh no, I am flying to Orlando with my six month old baby at Christmas - baby is due in a couple of weeks - I hadn't really thought about the jetlag effect on the baby though. Think I will look for some tips! I have seen some videos on floridababy website that help with the flight advice -

Baby friendly February holiday resorts....Advice?
MumToBe88 replied to harrietking100's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Travel City Direct are usually really good for cheap family holidays and as everyone on here will know I've been ranting and raving about their floridababy.co.uk website and all tips on travelling with children so they're defintiely child focussed. Not sure about the last minute deals but it's worth a look? They do Florida, Caribbean and Egypt I think. Good luck x -
I know I've been going on and on about the prospect of going on holiday with a really little baby next year any have probably been annoying everyone with my over enthusiastic early planning! I can stop going on at you now though you'll be relieved to hear! Found an AMAZING article in the Sun this morning about a lady who went to Florida with her little baby and basically test drived a load of tips and advice from a website called Floridababy.co.uk. Maybe they've been reading my forum posts and wanted to shut me up once and for all haha!!?? There's a Florida holiday offer in there too in case anyone wants to end their January blues and book a cheap trip to the sunshine! Have lovely weekends everyone xx

Thanks so much for your lovely post newcomer. I have to say I was a bit lost for words when I read a few of the others but it's nice to have someone come along who understands that things are all a bit up in the air in my head at the moment and what with all the snow I'm thinking about silly things being stuck indoors. Don't worry sillywoman I completely understand, it was more cate's post that threw me!! Anyway I'm just going to sit back and relax from now on. I've done a load of research and come across some really great blogs and websites etc in my hectic mode the other week so feel much more clued up now anyway. There's pretty much a zillion videos on YouTube telling you all you need to know anyway hehe! Have a great christmas everyone and my posts will be much more relaxed from now on I promise or I fear bump will kick mummy's tummy in to shape!! x

So I'm sitting at home with bump freaking out about how much planning I've got left to do before christmas and then I suddenly realised that this time next year we'll be in Florida!! I'm going to have to start planning in April at this rate haha! Has anyone ever had to do a christmas shopping rush on International Drive before or anywhere else in America? Is it a nightmare or am I a genius and it's a great time to get the best bargains lol (fingers crossed) even with a teeny baby in toe?

Best rides for babies at Disney World?
MumToBe88 replied to MumToBe88's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks so much everyone! I know 6 months is young but we booked the trip before we knew there was going to be three of us and I just don't think I could leave himn/her for 2 weeks. I've heard a lot about it's a small world and the safari so they're definitely on the list now! I found a couple of websites on my search last week too, the dibb and FloridaBaby which were really helpful with rides and travel and packing etc so I feel all Florida clued up and smug now hehe! I wish we were there now though and away from all this snow!! How is everyone getting on being snowed in? -
Hi everyone, Thanks so much for all your advice about flying next once we've got a new addition. It's been so helpful and really put my mind at rest. I was just wondering.. As we're going to America we'll most definitely be going to Disney World. Has anyone been with a really young baby (mine will be 6 months)? What are the best rides to take them on? Thanks very much, Emma xx

Advice about flying with little ones
MumToBe88 replied to MumToBe88's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi everyone, Thanks so much for all your advice. I've noted it all down so hopefully by the time the baby arrives and we do head off to the christmas sunshine I should be well and truly clued up!! It's true a worry shared is definitely a worry halved, i feel so much better!! So where did everyone go on their travels? Is there anything that HAS to be seen? I must say I'm very jealous of NZ, I've always wanted to go there! Everyone seems to have done so much of America too..maybe I should branch out from Florida? -
Hi Everyone, So, I've found out this week that I'm expecting my first baby next summer. I'm absolutely over the moon and so so excited but we've just spent a fortune on a holiday to Florida for next christmas and now I'm worrying as the baby will only be about 6 months old :-s Does anyone have any advice about travelling with little ones? I don't want to be the woman on the plane with the crying that everybody dreads sitting next to haha! Thanks, Emma xx
