  1. Local E Dulwich (Upland Road area) people. Our dear neighbours have lost their 6 month old tabby kitten Ninja. Workmen at the house had the door open and she managed to run out. She?s not used to going out and is v nervous and tiny. She was spade 3 weeks ago so has a scar/shaved side. Her little brother is sad and her little owner even more so. Please look out under cars, hedges, boxes, sheds. Thanks.
  2. 4 of us spent the evening at Maria?s last Friday. We ate ?til we burst and had a great evening. Maria was charming. Our waitress was Spanish (who would have thought?!) and very attentive. We ordered at the bar which in fact was helpful as we got to chat to the staff in the kitchen who explained a few dishes to us and we will definitely be going back.

What?s not to like? Good luck to a lovely new addition to LL!

  5. My son had his locked red road bike (dropped handlebars) stolen on saturday afternoon. It was locked with a cable lock to the bike lock post next to the phone box outside Blue Tit hairdressers on Peckham Rye. It was between 1.15-6.15pm.

He returned to it to find the lock cut through lying on the floor.

Custom built, no make, with small plastic ?arse saver? mud guard on back.

Really annoying and v cross teenager. Be aware.

  6. I have used Steve at least 5 times now. On Steve's recommendations we finally bought a new machine and stupidly got the deliverers to unplumb the old one and plumb in the new one. They couldn't even manage the first bit and in fact left me with my old machine plumbed in v badly which turned into a huge leak all over the floor on Monday. I called Steve in desperation and he was with me v quickly. He sorted the problem in 2 mins. Stung by the stupid delivery men the first time I asked steve to come back and sort the new one out once it'd been delivered. He arrived v. quickly and the problem was solved!

Steve has always been v honest and if he hasn't had to do anything other than advise us he hasn't charged us.

    V well recommended. Thanks Steve.

  7. I would like to recommend Shaun Owens Electricals- Sean came to our house, spent 40 mins here - unfortunately, the problem is inside our boiler and Shaun couldn't sort it out but has recommended a boiler man who should be able to. Shaun didn't charge for his time which is amazing. Very polite, prompt service.

Boiler man booked so fingers crossed!

  8. Try Alistair Sawday's 'Special Places to Stay' - we've used them loads and they're brilliant! They do working farms and let the kids collect the eggs, watch the cows being milked, provide lovely authentic farmhouse meal in the eve whilst your babes are sleeping safely upstairs OR posh chateaus still just as friendly. Enjoy.
  9. Each of my 3 sons did this around this age. I spoke to a speech therapist friend of mine and she said it was often 'a stage'. It was and it stopped. I think the trick is NOT to mention it and not to finish their sentences or hurry them. Of course, it could be more serious, but only time will tell I guess! Good luck.
  10. 'Danny's' football at Jags on a Saturday morning. Drop in 9.15am. ?5 a session. Not particularly training but they love it and take ages 3/4 +. After the hours 'match' each age group then have a knock out penalty shoot out. The winner takes home a trophy for the week. Brilliant lesson in life!!
