The owner of the car put an apologetic note through our door yesterday. Car booked in for further diagnostic tests ...but not until 19 February! -

I took this in 2000, I think. I'll email it to them. I took a lot at the time of traders standing outside their shops around Lordship Lane. Virtually all of them have changed hands now. -
Crystal palace road - line marking tomorrow??
JeanieB replied to Jake L's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Just had one conversation with project manager Luke apologising for lack of notice etc etc. He walked off, and literally 2 minutes later a worker came with a roller and black paint and started painting out yellow lines back to black saying there was a mistake and works on CPR between Crawthew Grove and Uplands due to start in a few weeks. Classic! -

So they're only temporary while road works take place. It would be useful if they conveyed that information on the street. -
Triple bagged it and left it on kerb. Street cleaners arranged for pick up. It's not there now so can only assume they did. Apparently they get 5 similar calls a day in Southwark and Lambeth combined. If it's on the kerb they don't charge the ?48 + VAT.

Just found a dead fox in my garden. Southwark council want ?48 to take it away. No room to bury it. Already starting to smell and bin men don't come til Tuesday. Any ideas?

Just seen 2 in back gardens of Crystal Palace Road opposite Crawthew Grove. So 3 are on the loose!

raasaygirl, definitely, that's the one, well done. Wee quinnie got the plant off my wall in Crystal Palace Road and I had labelled it as Ammi majus which is a beautiful plant, quite different to this one. I bought the seeds from seeds.com and they have obviously labelled them wrongly but seeing the name for this one, ammobium grandiflorum I can kind of see how the mistake happened. Problem was I planted 30 of them all over my garden before I realised the mistake. They're nice, but not that nice. Thanks for solving the mystery.

In the meantime what about Peckham Plex - it's independently owned now and has some interesting stuff on as well as mainstream. Also, check out freefilmfestivals.org to see details of our very own free film festival held in September, now into its 3rd year. You can vote for the film you'd most like shown at Nunhead Cemetery this year.
