  1. Hi I'm looking to go for around a 25-30 mile bike ride tomorrow, thinking of taking in greenwich and the river but happy for any suggestions really.

Quietish routes if possible as I don't tend to stray too much from my M-F commute...

I'd be v grateful for any suggestions...

    Cheers

  2. Woodland yes that is my problem too! I often wonder if I could out-pedal someone running fast and think the answer is probably no. I've just applied for a cycle to work scheme to get a new bike and now am wondering if this is a bad move as new bike will obv be attractive however old bike slow and heavy.

JDB in answer to your question the incident yesterday happened probably just after 930am. There were some witnesses although I was not one of them...

  3. Total wild card but I decided to get a Fisher Price record player for my 'god'-daughter. Bit random I know but lots of music lovers in the family so seemed appt. Couldnt find one for love nor money however, but noticed well after the christening that they had them in the toy shop in Dulwich Village.
  4. Go for Dulwich Park Runners, they are a really nice friendly group who run at all different levels and speeds. As far as I remember I didnt need to be able to run a certain distance in order to join. They meet Tuesdays and Thursdays near D Park.
  5. Interesting question! I might be able to help a bit...

I think it's legal to buy it as its commonly used in the ice-cream industry - in the machines I think. You can buy it on line no problem. I'm pretty sure its illegal to sell it tho - ie for recreational use anyway. Aside from during child-birth I've used it at festivals on 'balloon' format with no ill-effects but thats not to say that there aren't any. It was good fun to use and did pretty much what it says on the tin (ie made us laugh.... a lot....)

    Hope that helps.

  6. Just wonderd if anyone knew what was happening on the high street in Honor Oak? I heard that Sainsbury's Local had bought out the old curry house and surrounding units and that Domino's Pizza had secured the Old Bank. Only rumours though - anyone know any more?
  7. Thanks all for your replies. I will definitely give the toddler thing at crystal palace a go. Perhaps I could then go onto your music class Bea which also sounds cool. Will certainly be a fun-packed busy day which is what I like...

Vik re: softplay... I have lately been asking myself 'how much softplay is too much?!'. well we seem to go on average to one softplay or another once a week (I am a self-proclaimed expert on local softplays!). It's certainly funny how I used to HATE those places with a passion but now love going as its actually a break (despite the screaming etc)...! This is what my life has now come to!!

  8. Hello

I am just looking for suggestions for an activity to do with my 4 year old son on a Tuesday. Am finding it slightly tricky on the cold winter days to keep him amused as we live in a small flat and need to get out. We go swimming one day a week and he attends preschool on other days. I also have a small baby, so the activity needs to be something that she can also be present during. I am happy to pay (but not through the nose!). Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

    Many thanks.
